i got a herniated disc, dont know what type, my mri is in 1-3 months, and right now i stopped the gym and im doing simplefit training, bodyweight circuits with bodyweight squats push ups and pullups, i like it, its a good workout and im doing cardio between these days, an i like it but i was juyst wondering if it was possible to do a workout program in the gym with upper body training only, the only thing that hurts my back is squats deads and MP

and if u guys tell me dont train !! just rest

that means im gonna do my bodyweightworkout :D

Sure it is, just look at 3/4 of the gym, they all do it.

I would stick with your bodyweight workouts man. Very true not many people work legs in the gym fucked up considering it's the biggest bodypart. But if you have a herniated disc you could still fuck something up, especially on pressing exercises like bench and military press. I would take it easy until you see what the MRI shows. If you insist on going to the gym maybe just stick with the machines at a slow pace. It would suck to fuck up things anymore and never be able to do the real exercises, Squat, Dead, Bench

ive been in similar postion, and it is really hard not to get in there and lift weights. so i just made myself stick to machines where my torso was pretty much imobilized, and no pressure is coming from overhead or any variation angle thereof. also i could always do pullups which are bad ass as we know. be smart and if something even starts to hurt a little in your affected area back off immediatly.
