What Can I Do - Suggestions

I am wanting to take suggestions on how we can increase viewing in the diet forum.

Other sites have "roundtable" experts
Others have sections dedicated to certain trainers.

What would you like to see??

Possibly take on a client and we go through a complete diet seeing why each move is made and calculated?

Would you like for me to ask for a few other trainers to stop by? Ones that are currently not on other boards??

Let me know. I'd like to start working on this.

Thanks

this is your specialty bro . take the ball and run with it . my specialty is eating and not diet , they are similar but not exactly the same thing :goof:

Hey, you're a mod again. Welcome back.

In the past, I've noticed that a lot of guys come in here....they post up their perspective on diet, and then they immediately get their assholes torn out. True, such is often deserved, but in the end they don't get any help and they just leave.

I'm guessing there are some different schools of thought on diet. Might be nice to start documenting the different philosophies ... even if we don't agree with them. Nothing wrong with posting one up and then following it up with opposing perspective and maybe even real experience.

But hey, I'm not the guru, so maybe I'm all wrong here. I took everyone's advice and ate a shitload of food and a shitload of protein to bulk up prior to using the juice. And then I kind of regretted it recently, to be honest. I've now been leaning out over the past few months ... diet and cardio.

Are the trainers doing something different (that works) from what we hear about on the boards? If so, then I would love to know.

i think a section dedicated to certain diets would be a good idea, such as the high protein diet and in the high protein diet section a list of acceptable foods and snacks that would be acceptable to eat if you chose that particular diet and recipes for said diet. maybe even daily sample menus. if someone was interested in perhaps a 1700 calorie a day diet you could list possible daily menus for such a diet that would total no more than say 1700 calories for the day. you know, kinda like an online dietition. maybe bring in more experts like you said who could answer the questions and give straight advice. just my thoughts!!

get more experts for sure. the more experts the more ways solid advice will be communicated...

one thing i noticed with you dirk, is that you give a great piece of advice then those who have zero credentials come in with thier un-helpfull advice, but if there were 2-3 other "mods" or "vets" who have a similar backround as you do, they could back you up and take the stress off of you.

it is sad, there have been more views and threads in the supp forum than the diet forum...

shows you how silly ppl are.

One thing that should increase traffic is having you post more. Your expertise is this area really seems unmatched. I really like the idea about the client and going through each move. A list of commonly missed myths regarding diet would also be helpful and some real good basic diet thread and sticky's for body building shopping list.

I think this is one of THE most important sections. Bad nutrition = no growth REAGRDLESS of truckloads of Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) or the best trainer on the planet.

I would love to see you walk through a client on their diet. Possibly explain why are you changing certain things as you go (increase cardio, decrease carbs, fats, etc)

Also if you can get some other trainers over here, giv'er. I'm sure the admins won't have a problem with it and if there is enough interest maybe you can each have your own sub forums where you can post any info you want as well as client photo's, etc.

It would also be nice to get some female trainers around here as well. Most people I see on the boards only work with males, but there is a large amount of females out there that have very limited info on these boards....Actually, I think to kick things off, you should test your methods on a lucky lady on the board. Before/after pics and a diet walk through.

Here is the thing I WOULD ABSOLUTELY do a walk through with someone for the board for free, if they were going to do a show.

The problem comes with finding the right person. That is what makes all this work. whenever someone does well in a show i don't want any credit, because i know they did the work.

If i can find someone on here that I absolutely feel has the right attitude and dedication/determination then I will absolutely do it. Any ideas??

I am working on the other trainers as we speak.

Sorry Easto I hit the Edit button instead of quote and messed up your post---

I will be doing

toolifters diet for the nationals and 'tensitys for next years state show and put things on here.

If we can put enough pressure on RJH90210 to do the show he wants to, I will do the same with him. Which would be to people getting ready for shows at the same time with what will probably be 2 very distinct ways of doing things.

I train BBer and my chemicals are BBer but my eating is Powerlifter or Strongman.

Sorry i couldnt help more.

Diet Forums are pretty difficult to build up. Probably bc everyone hates dieting. They'd rather just lift and take steroids. Or talk about sexual attractiion to trannies in the convo lounge.
