What made you get into gear?

Just curious to see where everyone came from. I'll be starting my first cycle in about a month and for me, I want to use gear to elevate to the next level. I'm young, but I've been lifting for some time. Ever since I was young, I had this vision in my head of just being a big, ripped dude. That guy that others admire when walking on the beach or wherever...may sound funny, but it's my goal..i only live once. In addition, i also workout for the obvious health benefits.

So what about everyone else? Why did you decide you use gear? competitions, personal goals..?

i wanted to be the best rugby player possible and i was young and thought if i didnt do it i would never be good enough! and the truth is in most professional sports now you have to juice to become the best! and thats the reason i started wanted to be the best, but now i juice cuse i enjoy the way it feels, and it helps me hit my goals in the gym, plus my misses loves the constant hard ons

same reasons but I also wanted the RESPECT that the BIG GUY gets. Also I was young and stupid and jumped into it too quick at the time, made some mistakes, have not touched it again till this day. All about reading now and gaining knowledge

That and the glory
i am a bouncer at a bar, size does matter. I also train for MMA, wanted to get some cannon shoulders so i could pound pukes who started shit lol

Cause I wanted to , I worked my ass of and got no where , I mean I went from 130 to 160 but then got fucked... I dont do it for respect or others approval I do it for ME.... You aint gonna get no respect cause your big, I think that if you really look deep the big guy really aint got no respect, ppl are just scared cause hes a monster if ya want that get yourself a fucking 44 mag and put it on your hip in the gym you ll get the same reaction...lmao

Always been the little guy of the bunch here. Worked out hard for 3 years straight...gained nearly 50lbs. Took a few months off...got back in the gym...gained a few more...plateaued for a year or so. No matter what I did...couldn't gain a pound. The only weight I'd gain was water mass from certain supplements that caused water retention (fooling most idiots into thinking they've gained muscle) and then would all disappear in a few weeks even if I was training harder than while on the supp. Got into gear...now becoming satisfied with results I'm seeing. And might I mention...I wish I would've have discovered this forum group a long time ago! Probably wouldn't have a mild case of gyno...as well as seen better results with the help of many of the guys on these forums with years and years and years of experience with gear under the belts. Other boards SUCK! This one...very pleased with...I'm a new member to this one! Thanks to all yall...and hopefully you all have decently good reasons, or good reasons, for using gear! : ) LoL

Obese until the age of 19 (almost hit 400 lbs) ... terrible genetics (cancer, diabetes, heart disease all within past two generations) and naturally low test ... waited until age 35 to take the plunge for reasons closer to life extension and greater quality of life as opposed to looking good.

And NEVER looking back. Sometimes I feel like telling people "Why yes I do take steroids and because of my knowledge -- much of which ascertained at Steroidology -- I am 100 percent glad I do and I have no regrets."

was the skinniest and weakest guy in school, started workin out and got more and more into it... i achieved some good results without gear and always said i would never touch it, until i met a friend who was huge and said yo il coach u... so i was like yea y not.. :) ... people used to make fun of me cuz i hard a hard time opening my coke bottle at school.. hehe, now im opening them shits left and right for people ;)

Great quote cp!!!
I trained naturally for about 16 years, completely fell in Love with the Iron game and everything about it.
Spent that time doing alot of reading, learning, trial and error and discovering the physiology of my body and it's complete genetic potential.
Always wanted to juice, always knew I would but for one reason or another I just never did until I was about 35 actually.
I concur with the quote above completely!
Knock on wood I am blessed with great receptors, almost zero side effects and a fair amount of discretion and intelligence.
I consider Test to be the fountain of youth.
My life is much more fulfilling as a result of AAS!
Great thread btw.

while i was big and had average strength in high school, i was only there through hard work cus of shitty genetics. Getting on the level of team mates in college, who are almost all genetic FREAKS, and many of whom already juice, made it a necessity for me

I first started back in high school for football. I kicked ass, but still didn't get a scholarship. Now I'm at a 4 year school, where I get tested, but I still juice because I want to play and am not really concerned with getting caught.

Even after I'm done playing football, I'll still do it for cosmetic/health reasons though.

i got into gear because...
