To see if I have low test? Im thinking of using healthcheckusa.com and see where I am at, and then depending on the results deciding if I should approach my DR or not.
What tests should I have done

Total Estrogens does not provide a clear picture of what is happening with the conversion of Testosterone. Estradiol is the resulting estrogen that stems from aromatase activity of testosterone while Estrone and Estriol are synthesized from different pathways. Testing for Total Estrogens (Estrone, Estradiol and Estriol) does not give a clear picture to how much of the testosterone is wasted by converting into estradiol. Therefore, you can be low in the count of total estrogens but the E2 could be abnormally high still. And if total estrogens are still high but E2 is optimal, you could be over-medicating if you reach for more AI's to decrease total estrogens despite having optimal E2 values.

- ChipI'm only attempting to help and further the advancement of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) testing and protocols. I do not claim to know everything, and neither should Chip but if we all come together and exchange our knowledge and experiences, we are progressing; aren't we?
That's what these forums are all about correct? I brought up the subject about HcG on the Doctor Oz's show but had my link removed because at this forum, "we don't link to BS," in which I wholeheartedly agree with. Bad information should be deleted and forgotten but good information should be kept and discussed; not hidden or disregarded.

From what I've been reading and researching, I've gained the following knowledge of estrogen:
Estrogen is comprised of three different hormones: (E1) Estrone, (E2) Estradiol, and (E3) Estrone.
Estrone, Estradiol and Estrone are steroidal types meaning they derive from androgens (this does not mean they all derive from testosterone).
The enzyme aromatase converts androtenedione into Estrone.
The enzyme aromatase converts testosterone into Estradiol.
The enzyme aromatase converts dehydroepiandrosterone-sulfate into Estriol.
Since we are injecting pure testosterone (and not a precursor) into ourselves, what is significantly important to us is our estradiol levels.
Testing the total estrone, estradiol and estriol levels does not help us. It's like a cholesterol test. Total cholesterol does not help us determine specific HDL or LDL figures. You may have optimal total cholesterol figures but your HDL could be super low and your LDL could be abnormally high.

I looked into Equilibrium Ultrafiltration because I don't know what it was. It's a different method of testing testosterone levels in serum samples and is used when you want immediate results. For example, if you want to know the results of the blood test immediately after you're drawn, they'll run it through this machine that will provide quick results.
Investigation of equilibrium ultrafiltration as a means of measuring steroid-protein binding parameters
Abstract
The results presented in this study of the application of a novel technique of equilibrium ultrafiltration to the measurement of binding parameters for testosterone-BSA interaction, using the XM-50 Diaflo membrane, suggest that this method can provide, in experiments of short duration and in a manner amenable to robotization, valid analytical results of a high order of precision for the given conditions. However, further work is necessary to investigate the reasons for the approximately 25% higher binding affinity exhibited in this method as compared to equilibrium dialysis. Unlike the XM-50, the UM-10 exhibits both binding and rejection of the ligand, but it should nevertheless be possible in future work to take advantage of its low cut-off value by applying appropriate corrections for these phenomena.
Conclusion
We present a relatively simple UF coupled LC-MS/MS definitive method that measures serum free testosterone. The method is relatively fast, reliable and is suitable for the routine clinical laboratory practice.
The above article studied the effectiveness of this method and they declare it "suitable". It's jus' a buck more to get the "Direct" version; I wouldn't want my results skewed by accident.
