Why does my local pharmacy ask for I.D. when buying syringes?

What does it mean. I called walgreens, and the lady said to make sure an bring i.d., but no prescription needed.
I thought it was kind of odd.
What will they do with my license, name, address and ect?

But I find it uncomforting that they do that. If I do get a visit from the po po or whoever, ill just say I plead the 5th. It isn't illegal to have a syringe is it?
Is it kinda like having a thing of rolling papers? You can go to jail for that if they see that you dont have any tobacco on hand.

Having worked in a pharmacy, I can tell you that I'm not exactly sure what they do with the information. As far as I know, we just type it in our computer system.
I'm sure if you bought 100s of needles / syringes, that's when you'd be getting a visit, but if you're just buying 50 here and there, it shouldn't be a problem.

Since the phamracy around here is being a bit shady for my liking, would ordering from cheppinz be the route to go? Everything sterile as the pharmacys? Dont need a damn infection with my legs falling off and shit.

I read this which was a bust in NJ here's a part that made me laugh.
Michael Massaro, of Harmer Terrace, was getting out of his car in front of the World Gym at the Wedgewood Plaza shopping center when he was stopped by a police officer with search warrants from a three-month-long investigation, Detective Captain James Clarke said.
He was charged with four counts of possession of anabolic steroids and one count of possession of a needle and syringe after police found an unspecified amount of the drug in his car and his house, Clarke said. Lmao, apparently it seems in NJ you can be charged for possession of a needle. Now that's fucked, I wonder how much time extra he'll get for that.

Just don't show them your military ID, and don't buy more than 2-3 at a time.

They can't ask you for a script for needles. So fuck them if they say they need one and just go to another walgreens or CVS. I mean, there's one on every street corner in America.

i buy 20-30 at a time. pins alone and pins w/ syringe. 21 to draw-25 to shoot. some people will give you a hard time some wont. i go to a privately owned pharmacy. they want to make as much as possible, they wont hassle you.

i have never purchased less then a 100 pins at a time and ive never had an issue. shit they have government run needle dispensaries that hand them out freely in ontario.

any chance they're just confirming he's over 18 or something? are kids allowed to by hypodermics where you are? dunno, just a thought, i read somewhere someone was saying they had to be 18 to purchase.... can't remember where so sorry. i have to import mine no matter what, though honestly i'd probably do the same if i lived in the states anyway.
