Any Outdoorsman/Outdoorswomen out there???

Sutton.....
Heres a pic of the turkeys my dad and I shot last spring, We doubled had 4 jakes and 4 toms come in at once and the first jake was about 5 yds and he was getting nervous when I shot mine I lowered my gun and leg and my dad shot his on the fly, This is a perfect example of the hybrid area we hunt if you notice my bird has more beige tips like a rio and my dads is more brown like an eastern, Mine had a 10 5/8" beard and 1 1/8" spurs my dads was 9 7/8" beard and 1 1/4" spurs a memory I'll never forget, Mine is in full strut mounted and sittin on my dresser, Best $625 I ever spent, Scares the shit outta my wife when she wakes up in the middle of the night though

I hunt deer, partridge, and ducks in the fall. Like to hit the rivers too for salmon. Fished Pere Marquette before. It can be really really good at times.

Nice birds bro! Sounds like a hell of a hunt. I bet that mount looks great. Its great that one of your great hunt memory's is with your dad.

If you're up that way you probably get in alot of smallmouth? I guess your duck season is over kinda early, We dont start seeing good numbers until mid to late December, But you guys definately have us beat on them whitetail, We can grow some horns on 'em down here but 150+ pounds is a monster, What kinda shotgun you shoot ducks with?

Ya it was a great hunt, my dad and I do alot of hunting and fishing together, we didnt spend much time together when I was growing up so its nice to be able to make those memories now, and I probably have more appreciation for it now. We carry walky talkies when we deer hunt and we are at most 3/4 mile away form each other, so we keep each other posted on when the deer start moving where we are, we would kinda have a competition to see who would see the most bucks in a sitting, His lucky ass usually won

I usually go to the Upper peninsula for opener in october cause its a couple weeks earlier than downstate. Been using a benelli super black eagle. Good gun.

As for deer ive shot a couple nice 200+ pound deer with my bow. One is a 12 and the other is an 11 and both have nice spreads. Didnt even get them mounted though. Therye pretty average for around here. Seems like i see one every time i go out. lol

Holy shit thats scarey. When the water freezes down here you step on it and it breaks,

Must be nice seeing that many good dear Edogger, So many ppl down here shoot yearlings that they never see a 3 yr old deer or better. I'm pretty patient so I see alot of deer for an okie, and I'm not gonna shoot a young buck for meat there is plenty of does for that, I'm saving for that SBE II right now, I currently shoot a super nova, its good but I'm lazy dont wanna have to pump :)

Yeah thats sucks, scares the shit out of me when i drive thru flood water, feels like im going down a few inches. snowmobiling out is much safer for me...

i love dove hunting! i cant wait for sept. 1

Me too Chris... One of my favorite times of the yr, the summer heat is leavin, cooler nights the adrenilin of waiting all summer to fire at some live birds, I love it, its a great way to kick off hunting season

Sorry forgot about these

The one with the green tag has a 16 inch spread and is a ten point. Theres a small one inch tine on one side of the base thats hard to see. Too bad the one tine is broken off on the main beam or it wouldve been cooler.

The other one is a 19 inch spread and is an 11 point. again theres small tine at the base on both sides that are hard to see and kind of a cool drop tine on the one side.

Both i shot with a 20 year old browning bow with wheels that pulls 50lbs. lol

I thought one of these was a 12 point but now i remember the one and its alot smaller than these and i couldnt find it out in the dark shed. I think i have 6 or 7 others i shot all with that same shitty bow. Ill use it till it breaks.

^^^Thats awesome that you got those with a bow, Those are good deer. I'm not a bow hunter yet but been dbating buying a bow, I'm thinkin about getting a matthews, I'm not gonna buy a new one cuz there 700+ new with nothing on them, There is an archerry shop bout an hr form me that is more like a pawn shop and I can probably get a 2yr old bow loaded for around $400
