Crazy pumps on TRT hard to work out?

Hi Guys

I've been on TRT a couple of years,

I'm noticing when I'm training my muscles pump with blood very quickly making it difficult to complete full workouts, my shoulders can be almost immobile after only a couple of sets. They get visibly pumped and my personal trainer says she hasn't seen this with any other client.

Is this something caused by TRT? Or something anyone has experience with?

Wow and here i am complaining of poor pumps..
Have u donated blood?
Do u know what your hemoglobin is?
What dose "TRT" are u on?

Hi

I haven't given blood, I have had blood levels tested and although slightly high clinic says I don't need to donate currently. I'm from the UK so giving blood in the US is difficult although possible if necessary.

I do know what hemoglobin is although I'm not sure how that helps this situation.

Trt 180mg, cyp every 5 days I also take HCG and zinc

The issues is basically that the pumps stop me from completing the work outs in the way I would like to, rather than fatigue excessive blood in my muscles is limiting me. It's hard to describe but I hope that makes sense.

Lol...
Bro...
I would donate..
It cant hurt if u been on TRT for 2 years and have never donated...
U well hydrated throughout the day?
Where does that 180 mg E5D's put you?
Think about your health...

Hi,

I drink about 1.5l of water per day so prob not optimal,

I can donate but it's a pain (BSE in the 1990's means no UK citizens can donate blood in the US, I have to find a Dr to take it)

The 180 E5d puts me around 800 which seems to be good for me.

When you say think about your health what are your concerns? Currently I'm just following the advice I'm being given by the clinic.

Apollon is talking about hematocrit (percentage of blood solids to liquid) becoming too high due to your TRT. Not all men develop this issue, but it is a very real risk that should be monitored and treated if necessary. Having a high hematocrit (hemoglobin is an indication) leads to risks of blood clots forming as your blood thickens from over stimulus of red bone marrow from the testosterone injections.

Donating blood (or a therapeutic phlebotomy) is the best way to treat this. Optimally you want a hematocrit under 50%, or a hemoglobin under 16. (a rough calculation of hematocrit comes from multiplying hemoglobin by three)

Pumps are normal as you are retaining more nitrogen, and through oxidation are generating elevated levels of nitric oxide. This increases blood flow to your muscle tissues, and can become quite uncomfortable as the fascia (muscle "skin") stretches along with your skin. Arginine and other things like cialis greatly amplify this effect.

I recommend you start supplementing with taurine to find relief. Starting at 500-1000mg per day should be adequate for your TRT dosage. However, you may find it necessary to increase the dosage. I personally take 3g of taurine a day, and find relief at that dose.

My .02c :)

Thanks I'll give the taurine a try and talk to the clinic regarding my hemoglobin levels and make sure they're on top of them.

I have had this issue since I started TRT and 2 yrs later it still hasn't gotten better. It's only my delts though...and I have huge delts now. Ice packs help. At first I thought I was irritating an old rotator cuff tear but it's not. Just holding back a bit on BP and OHP is the only relief I've found.

I love the painful pumps. sometimes I can barely finish workout, but i know that with bigger pumps comes bigger gains. more swelling and stretching of muscle helps growth. I also do "forced stretching" in middle and end of workout to force the muscle to stretch out and cause more damage/growth. I highly rec this, but be careful not to hurt self, take it slow for stretching like this.
even if doing a bit less of workout i bet your still getting more growth with these pumps.

I rec taurine to all as a basic supp to add. with or without pumps it helps and is cheap. helps brain and body. 2-3g ed is nice

So well put, take that mid workout stretch slow and easy for sure, I caused too much damage from "Ego stretching" when I first started doing this years ago so nice and slow and BAM!

Thanks for the info, nice to hear the pumps could be helping gains!

I've ordered the Taurine and increased my water intake now to about 3L per day.

I had my hemoglobin tested again and it's at 15.2 so doesn't look like any issue from that side. Really appreciate all the help from on here!
