Do you train at home or a gym? And the cost?

I train at home and at 2 gyms. I switch between the 3 so i train with different people and the change of scenery stops me from getting bored.

I spent about £1000 on my equipment at home. One of the gyms i go to costs £34 a month and the other is £20 a month (although this is my friends gym so i train for free)

I was wondering what other people do, train at home or gym and how much they spent on equipment or gym fees.
 
I'll run the jogging path's here at home but other then that I train at two facilities. My local gym for weights, strength, and conditioning and it's about $28/month but will be dropping to $10/month for their new program/pricing. I train MMA at another facility and there I just pay monthly member dues and it's about $60 for unlimited training access.
 
i don't have a home gym or any gym equipments at home so it's gym for me, but if circumstances calls for me not being able to go to gym, but want to workout... calisthenics are the best and having a punching bag helps too. also, bands! I am jealous of people having gym equipments at home. that alone saves time, but it is expensive...so...we really can't compare.

cardio is definitely at home or outside...and not in the gym because most of the time, for me, it's distracting.

used to go to this MMA gym near our place (10 mins walk). sad they moved >< so again rely on bag and bas rutten's workouts
 
I switch between the gym and home and have a couple of other gyms around which I might go to to freshin things up, somtimes you get sick of seeing the same walls and toys. I prefer to do cardio outside. Have a year and a half gym pass which cost about £170 which is an absolute bargin round here.
 
wow. lucky you to be having a beach access, reap! running on sand is very forgiving compared to hard ass concrete..very lucky. now go play chariots of fire :p

I have a beach 5 minutes from my house. It has massive sand dunes which are brilliant for running up. Kills the calves!!! But only in the summer. Its far too cold in the winter months.
 
I used to train at a gym but now I train at my college track. I stopped deadlifting and dont squat that much now either due to a low back injury (which is not bad but who knows) and just because of no caring as much anymore. All I used to do is squat/dl so my others parts need to catch up. I do more cardio now, so Ill hit the stairs or jog there and also there is a rack and a flat bench with barbell and weights outside which is great because usually no ones doing that. So I bought some 10s and 2.5's since there are 5's and a bunch of 45's there. No dumbbells there so Im planning on getting 20s-100s in 10 pound increments with a platemate of 2.5 pounds each side of each dumbbell (5 pounds each hand) so i can have 25's,35s,etc. So that with a flat bench here should run about $500. maybe a tad bit more.

So basically, I can hit dumbbells here for a while and when I stagnate or feel like hitting the barbell, Ill just go to the track.
 
concrete jogs gave me right achilles tendonitis, knee pains, shin splints, plantar fasciitis..but the achilles tendonitis is the mother of pain. hurts like crap ><

so since i can't jog on concrete anymore..or i don't enjoy having those injuries again, bas rutten's MMA workout is my alternative and i have to say, it works.
 
I have some decent equipment at home and also a gym membership. Therefore, if I can't make it to the gym, I have no excuse to not get in a decent workout.
 
my roommate spent 3 g's on the gym we use at home. Its a bunch of free weights and strongman stuff(tire flipping,farmer handle weights,prowler) so it saves me money by not going to the gym and spending 30 plus a month on a membership..
