Fine-Tuning the Cycle - Meal Frequency, Mood Swings, Injection Timing

Alright guys, I got my plans done; diet, meds, injection plan, training.

So last things to do is the fine-tuning:

1) Test Injection Plan
  • My injections are 2x per week. Inject on training days ? before or after ?
  • Which muscles for injection ? Always gluteus maximus swapping left/right side ?

2) HCG Injection Plan
  • Inject right after Test or on other days ?
  • Always in the stomach fat ?

3) AI Intake
I take Aromasin, when is the best time / biggest benefit to take it, related to free T / E2 in blood ?

4) Mood Swings
Are there complications at 500mg test/week ?

5) Meal Timing - VERY IMPORTANT
  • The total kcal-intake counts, I know... But whats about the meal frequency ? How often shall I eat ?
  • Did someone here tried the intermittent fasting approach on cycle ?

It appears that eating too frequently could potentially be detrimental to the goal of gaining muscle mass in that muscle tissue becomes insensitive to further stimulation by amino acids, increasing protein oxidation in the liver. Eating more frequently than every three hours would seem to not only be unnecessary (based on the rate of digestion of whole proteins) but could possibly be detrimental.

And another thing; eating carbs too late will lead to less GH release at night. Therefore I normally do not eat 3-4 hours before bedtime, shall I keep doing this on cycle ?

1) Inject on the days you are supposed to inject regardless if it is a training day or not. Some prefer to train the muscle before injecting into it. For example, postpone delt injection until shoulder workout is over.

I would recommend at least 4 injection sites. Glutes, quads and delts are all good ones.

2) I inject hCG at the same time as I do my twice weekly test Injections. Easier to remember that way. You can mix it in the syringe with the test too and pin it all at once.

hCG can be pinned IM or Subq. I prefer IM. If you do subq, it doesn't have to be limited to the stomach.

3) I take my Adex right when I do my injections. Just get on a regular schedule. If it is EOD for you then maybe right when you wake up in the morning and take your vitamins. Getting on a schedule that makes it easy to remember to take it is more important than trying to optimize the timing of when it is taken. Forgetting to take it is the worst. Adex has a long half life so don't over think it

4) You should find that you are happier on 500mg of test. Things that used to bug you won't anymore. Libido will be high. Tell your significant other to brace him or herself for the coming onslaught.

Only negative mood risk is if you don't manage estradiol well. Then you will be cranky, moody, tired and more emotional.

5) Many guys like frequent meals. You shouldn't be doing AAS if you don't already have a good sense for how to diet. Do what has been working for you.

Some guys do Intermittent Fasting. If that is what you do now and it works for you stick with it. You can eat Casein Protein before bed. Protein shouldn't affect your GH production at night. Make sure you get protein after your workout too. Adjust your IF window to accomplish this.

If you do subq, it doesn't have to be limited to the stomach.

Yep, you can inject subq into anywhere that you have a late of fat under your skin.

You just back fill the syringe with the hCG.
 
One more thing about the Exemestan:
I planned the cycle mostly on the recommendation by Nightmare007:

So should I really take Exemestane 12.5mg everyday 15 weeks ?

I found other recommandations that 25mg ED splitted in 2 doses 8am/8pm, taken with fats is much better. Read here:

In case of a gyno; Shall I up the Exemestan (Armoasin) dose to 50mg ED ?


I will also get bloodwork done after 6 weeks on cycle, to see how low estradiol is.

whats your bodyfat at?? if your bodyfat is high do not inject hcg sub q.. go IM instead


and as much a i love ya tron, i would be highly against IF dieting esp while on cycle..

and eating more frequent meals also gives a tactical advantage on macro timing..



but what do i know, i only do this for a living.. lol

My doc measured 11.3%, with caliper measurement I am at ~8%, judging the mirror I would say ~10%.

Yea I will eat 6 meals/day then. But IF is great for cutting ;)

Shall I go for +1000kcal over TDEE on cycle with 50c / 30p / 20f ?

I was just saying that if he is already doing it and it works for him that he could continue it. There are other diet specialists that have indicated IF is ok for cycling. Perhaps it isn't optimal (I don't know), but I am not sure we need to let the perfect get in the way of the good.

Calipers are very innacurate. Get a Body Pod Scan done.
 
Not to detract from the thread too much but the fact is IF works - it would be silly to deny that at this point.

I'm not exactly a fan of it but to say its not "optimal" would be a stretch since their is no such thing as "optimal" when it comes to meal timing - its a case of whatever fits the individuals lifestyle.

Scientifically, the data on meal timing is mixed at best (no such thing as optimal) and on an anecdotal point - the client I mentioned in a previous thread that maintains 5-6% year round happens to do it through IF so....

Whatever works best for the individual :)

Yea Im also always around 10%, without bein too low in calories, I still make good gains.

Science also says that 2-3 times is optimal and that longer fasting periods are life-enhancing.
Main reasons for that:
- Better insulin sensitivity
- Lower blood sugar
- More GH at night.


However, I could not find a study with IF + steroids ...
The vets say that 6 meals are optimal on cycle.

Personally, I would also go for 6 meals, because steroids boost the metab0lic Rate (not sure) ?


And the last question: Whats about the Exemestane dosage ? Start with 25mg ED or with 12.5mg ED ?
