thats crazy since its the first time i have done deads in months and last time i was regularly doing them was a year ago

Was that the only bodypart you did? I'd be rolled out on a stretcher if I did that back workout with another bodypart.

I could never get through that back workout. After I get done with mine I am so wrecked that I have no idea how I would do all of that.

deadlifts...4 sets...10,8,6,4 reps
barbell rows...4 sets...12,10,8,6 reps
front lat pulldowns...4 sets...10-12 reps

Sometimes I will switch dumbbell rows in for barbell rows, or I will do partial deads instead of full deads if my legs are sore. 12 sets for back is plenty for me. Working back is something that I consider very heavy and very slow lifting with a lot of very hard muscle contractions. But, if it works for you then more power to you!

i have done them as a warm up for floor deads..but i kept it short and sweet..2 sets a few reps 5-8 and that was it..then i started pulling heavy from the floor.
