Hey all! I was referred here by MrsPuddlesFL, was on the elite boards before. This women's board looks awesome! I am very excited about it and I can't wait to get more involved.
Well, I am 20, going to be 21 in a few months (yay! finally!). I'm 5'4'' and 135 # or so. I'm probably around 23% bf right now. I want to get to around 16-18% and maintain that for the summer or longer if I can. For some reason I'm always on the high side of body fat %, and its pretty much all in my tummy! Still, I find it pretty easy to lose fat and pretty easy to gain muscle, as long as I am consistent with diet and training. That part is the kicker for me. Its a major goal for me to stay consistent with my training. I have been lifting for about 4 years now, but not straight through. I never quit entirely, but there have been stretches of time where I only made it to the gym 2 times a week and didn't have a good diet. Right now I'm starting up again and I'm very happy with the muscle memory in action!
Lately I'm noticing that lifting is important for my emotional wellbeing - its such an awesome stress release. I tend to be a happier person when I am working out consistently. I thinK I just have a lot of emotional energy that needs to be spent somewhere.
Oh, and I am a vegetarian, as my name on here suggests. I do eat fish/seafood, but not on a regular basis. I do not eat any meat - no chicken, turkey, cow, pig, lamb, etc.
