What's your lifting history?

well, 2 years ago i started lifting for about 1 and half years straight. than i stopped for a couple of months, lost some of my gaines and then i started working out about 4 weeks ago doing the 5x5 - 2x8 routine and its working really good.

thats my point. i have 19" relaxed and cold and dont work them directly. or rarely anyway. are his 19"? no..... are yours? well are they? lolololololol

db bustin pb's chops. lolololool you old codgers.

i remeber when mine were 16 flexed and pumped. i was all bowed up. tank tops, tight jeans and jewelery. covertible red IROC, i was stylin and profilin. couldnt tell me nuthin. still cant!!!!. lolololololol

anyway hope you got the point of the compound movements with iso as the assistance work and not the bread and butter/meat and taters.

....i can tell you this if i didnt lift at all they wouldnt be 19. lololol. overtraining will stop development as fast or faster than no training.

some of you guys have ben telling me that i do too many sets yet every article i read in any mag always advises doing even more than me? i know alot of them are pros, but i would think genetics would allow them to work less still and get more?

dude there is no tooth fairy , there is no easter bunny , and bb magazines make up shit to sell magazines . if there was one sure fire way to do it they could publish 1 edition and be done , that wouldnt make them much money though would it .
you need to decide whether to believe me and the others and realize you are overtraining or believe tha magazines and keep pounding away at them , give your plan at least 3-4 months of dedicated effort and then decide if it worked , dont do it 3-4 weeks and give up , anything will take time to see results .

Overtraining biceps was an extreamly bad idea in my experience. I was doing way to much for my experience level and more or less had to take a 1 month break off doing bicep, tricep and back exercises.

I developed a throbbing pain in my arm joint that didn't go away for about 2 weeks. Even after that I could still feel the muscle/tendon or whatever straining just on the brink of returning to how it was before whenever I tested it out.

Now my biceps are even smaller and weaker then they were before, blows chunks.

listen bro i very much understand the concept of business - HOWEVER why is it that ALL training articles seem to focus on high volume? it would stand to reason that to sell more mags they would take every possible approach as much as any other? what would be NOT overtraining regime in your eyes, but still enough to grow?
