Just left doc's office. want your opinion

I started hcg with my trt not long ago so I knew my TT level would be higher, but did bloodwork anyway. TT came back at 980 and free test was in the 300's. This is the first time he has checked free test.

Of course he freaked about those numbers and lowered my dose to 150 e2w, from 150mg e10d. Whatever, I do my own shots anyway. But when he startwd reading off ny previous numbers, there was a 330 TT in there and that didn't bother him at all.

I know more about managing my trt from learning here. I'm considering dropping the doc and managing my own using ugl test and that's what I want your opinion on. Only reason I see to keep playing his game is so I have a legal script. That would cover me for anything at work or if I happen to get an infection from an injection.

I should add that I plan to continue to blast and cruise for a while. At least the next few years till I'm too old to care anymore. Well teutonic is ancient and he still does, so maybe forever. Jk you old geezer.

I know a few guys that just manage their visits. You need to time it. FYI one friend tried TNE to get him by and even that had his numbers elevated to the point the DR questioned it. It doesn't leave the system as fast as you think.

Free testosterone will almost ALWAYS be higher for men on TRT, by the simple fact that androgens lower SHBG. Sounds like he should be spending time here too. :p

I wish he would learn a little bit. But I can keep him happy with the numbers he wants to see and I've learned from everyone here how to manage it on my own.

I guess the script is nice. I was just thinking since I plan to blast and cruise anyway, I could save the copay and bloodwork money to apply towards ny own labs and gear. In the grand scheme of things, that's not much money. I do get frustrated with it though. If I wasn't on self injections, this guy would have me all messed up with e10d and e2w shots. Glad I have this place.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that many of us have to take things into our own hands. A script makes things MUCH easier, and hopefully the silly free test lab was just a random occurrence. You could try bringing in studies, but I have had docs that get really butt hurt when you try to educate them.

I feel it is always better to have COMPETENT medical supervision for trt. You will need regular blood work on trt. Sounds like you have the wrong doctor.

Have you tried a low T or anti-aging doc? I started out with an endo who did the same thing to me. He was super conservative and freaked out over the numbers all the time and was a PITA to deal with - and wouldn't script an AI.. or even check E2.

I switched to a local low-T clinc and couldn't be happier. Doc has no issue with a TT of around 1100 - actually he prefers it to be higher.

the clinc is cash only, but the price is the SAME as my insurance co-pay. no brainer. Once once I have the scripts in hand I can run them through my insurance. only the dr. visits are cash out of my pocket.

I've spoken to a few of the online ones. They're a little on the pricey side for my taste.

I did speak to one extensively a while back and they were willing to give me a script for just about everything I wanted to use while blasting. The price seemed in line with what they were offering, but when I came here to see if anyone had any feedback on them, I got nothing so just kept on my current path.

I've never done online shopping. the local clinic I visit is $138 for office visit and blood work (not including scripts). I have the option to run blood work through my insurance, but the cost is the same so I just pay the doc.

I'm down to going once every 4 months. Pretty darn affordable.

Hmmm.... I have a buddy who went to the low t center here. He had to go in weekly and pay the fee for the visit and get the shot. And also had to pay for blood tests. So he was paying $100 a month plus labs every 3 months. I don't believe they allow you to get a script and self inject. My copay for the script is $7 a month with a dr visit and labs every 3 months.

IMT is pretty inexpensive man. You don't have to get one of the pre set programs, if your already on TRT and just need certain things they can just do that for you.
