Liver Cysts - updated test results due on Friday

Last round of blood tests, all liver values were in range so I am kinda assuming it is OK.

Last year I had an abdominal ultrasound done and some other tests. They did not find anything other than some cysts in my liver. As a precaution they wanted to do another ultrasound of the liver… to see if there are any changes. I did the ultrasound on Tuesday and the doctor's office called later that day. Of course, they won’t tell you anything over the phone. I have to go in on Friday and talk to the doc.

My understanding is that liver cysts may not be big deal. Usually there are no symptoms and I feel just fine. My understanding is that these things can develop as you get older and you can often leave them alone. Hopefully, things are OK in there. I have no idea whether TRT would have much of an effect. Not sure if anyone else has any experience in this regard.

as long as trt isn't messing with your liver values (it doesnt' with mine and im on 200mg a week).. you'll be fine..

thats the great thing about the liver.. its very resilient.. if they need to do surgery to get the cysts off it will bounce back just fine..

keep us posted. this isn't a subject matter that is covered regularly.. we would love to hear the outcome!

I spoke to the doc today. Like we figured, it looks like there is nothing to worry about. This is what happens when you start doing scans of your abdomen when you are older ... you find things.

There was one "larger" cyst on my liver detected last year (in reality it's not very large). We will never know how long it's been there. It has not changed size from last year, so we are good on that. The ultrasound from this year picked up an additional two smaller spots. The report basically says they do not appear to be a problem. These smaller spots may just be calcifications. No need to go in there and poke around. None of these things would normally be detected or give rise to any symptoms, but we did an ultrasound so we know they are there. So we will just do periodic ultrasounds and track them, just to make sure there are no big changes. As for whether TRT has any impact on this stuff, who knows ... I'm guessing not. The doc did not say anything about TRT - so I'm good to go.

Sounds like the best possible outcome. I am glad for you.
