Hey, I have been having a real hard time latley getting to the gym. I just started a new job that has long hours, and blah blah blah. And while I still enjoy my time at the gym, I often find myself skipping days because I feel to tired, or some other excuse. Anyone got a good idea/story to help me on the days when I feel to worn out to lift. Oh, and I already know I'm lazy. :druggie:

I used to watch Rocky or Pumping Iron, but after a hundred viewings it jsut doesn't have the same kick.

I was thinking though and my biggest obstical is that I work a DuPonte schedule...For those who don't know that means switching between 12hr day and 12hr night shifts constantly. But I also get 7 days in a row off every month. So maybe If I split my training up kinda like this during the three work weeks...

Day 1- Chest Shoulders (Incline bench as the primary lift)
Day 2- Legs (Squat as the primary lift)
Day 3-Rest
Day4- Back (deadlift or Rows)
Day 5- Arms
Day 6- Rest
Day 7- Start back at 1

And did this on my week off...

Day 1-Chest Shoulder Tris
Day 2-Legs
Day 3- Back Bis
Day 4-Rest
Day 5-Like 1
Day 6-Like 2
Day 7-Like 3
Day 8-Rest (I start out working nights)

This is what I normally do, but I think making arms a separate day and adding the rest day might help me at least be consistent and shorten all my workouts a bit. The logic being that I can pick up some of the slack on my 7 off to make up for the lighter routine. I am really thinking this out as I type though, so any suggestions on a better routine for/from someone on a hectic shift schedule would be greatly appreciated.
