New gear, new goals, new log.

I'm telling you lucky, take everything you believe about training, throw it all in the garbage, and then you can understand my point of view.

Well despite what you may think I have some pretty good knowledge of training and alot of it has been reinforced by research on this very board....by telling me to throw it in the garbage is pretty disrespectful not only to me but many knowledgable people on this board...

I'll train my way and you can train yours but don't say the way I train is laughable as it's focused on a completly different goal.

I don't want you to make the mistake of assuming that health is my first priority. If it was I never would have gotten this big. I respect the fact that you value your overall health, and it's good you take so many precautions, especially given that you have a heart condition. You just had to get your panties in a twist when I explain how our philosophies on training differ. I respect your opinion but I also don't need the preachy bullshit.

Maybe you shoudn't offer advice to others on this board if that is ur outlook.....

Infact you failed to explain anything, I asked a simple question and you threw back a cheap comment made by many a strength athlete ....forget I asked...the end.

My advice to others 9 times out of 10 will be to do the safe and practical thing even when I wouldn't myself.

I explained myself as well as I was able, you were just too busy crying to actually think about what I said.

Took it nice and easy on the weights today. No problems with the back during the workout. I'm still getting some soreness moving around but it goes away after my muscles "warm up" a little. Things are improving quickly.

Lower body hypertrophy:

Leg press 4 plates per side x 20 5 plates x20 6 plates x20 6 plates x25
Hamstring curls full stack x8 x8 x10
superset w/ Leg extensions 175 x10 205 x10 260 (full stack) x12 - slow and paused on the extension
Calf press 3 sets x10 x10 x15
superset w/ Weighted ab machine 3 sets
Seated Hammer curls 50's x8 60's x8 70's x8
superset w/ One arm tricep pressdown 80 x8 100 x8 100 x10

Back is feeling spectacular today in comparison to a couple days ago. I can move around and bend freely with no pain or resistance. I have always been a fast healer but I think the steroids may be helping a little.

Upper Body Hypertrophy

Incline Hammer Strength 2 plates per side x8 3 plates x8 4 plates x8 5 plates x6-pr
Cable Chest press 100 x10 120 x10 140 x10
Wide grip pull ups bw x8 bw x10 bw x15 - I think that's a pr
Wide grip cable lat machine 160 x10 180 x10 200 (full stack) x10
Smith machine behind the neck press 135 x10 185 x10 225 x12
superset w/ Cable shrugs 200 x15 x15 x15

Everything felt great today. Proportions are really becoming apparent now that I've lost some fat. I keep getting comments that I look bigger even though I've lost weight. Biceps were pumped so bad they were hurting and took a while to cool down. Diet is going strong.

good job :afro:
how do you like the hammer mach for bench pressing?
i just used the Wide grip hammer bench press machine for the 1st time the other day, and have to say i was quit impressed with it.
i ended up slapping 3 plates a side for 10 reps. thats the most i have ever done on a mach like that.

I've always been a fan of Hammer strength, especially for back. Every 3rd or 4th hypertrophy day I throw in the incline as my first move.

Legs strength

Front squats 135 x6 185 x6 225 x6 275 x6 315 x6 - FUCK, never touched 315 on front squats before
Calf sled 3 sets x10 x10 x12
superset w/ rope cable crunches 3 sets
Dips bw x12 x12 x18
superset w/ preacher curls 3 sets

End of week 4. Weight is in the low to mid 290's. So I am losing a little weight but I would be hard pressed to say any of it is muscle. I keep getting stronger and looking better. Because I have lost a little more weight I'm not going to adjust the carbs any more. If anything I will be trying to get a little more protein. As far as looks are concerned I am seeing only positive changes. There are some nice veins moving toward the surface in my biceps and delts.

Just wait till you get around your goal...vascularity is nothing but pimping.

It's going to be a long road but I'll get there. I have never been a very vascular person I just have a couple choice veins that like to pop up. Maybe Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) use will change that when I actually get lean.

tren and Winstrol (winny). you wont recognise your own arms. this is coming from someone who has no vasuclarity off cycle no matter what bodyfat.

Neither was I until about 10%. It's scary when I'm doing curls, and I'm not even on.
