I think you need to carefully consider the difference between anecdotal experiences and the law. Everything you are being told is a very poor representation of what US Customs Enforcement or the DEA has the actual jurisdiction to do. However, it is relatively accurate to what occurs MOST of the time in real practice. Of course you can get in trouble! Ultimately though, you already know that the purchase or receipt of DEA scheduled narcotics violates numerous state and federal statutes, so the question is if you have done a mental cost benefit analysis. Are you willing to risk this? If not, don't do it. What occurs 99% of the time is a terrible method to use when the 1% possible outcome is imprisonment. You need to remember worst case scenarios, not just the good.
