Propecia as a masking agent??

a US skeleton athlete and jose theodore tested for positive propecia and they're saying that propecia is a masking agent.

I seen that, I thought that was hilarious. jose theodore doesn't even look like he's seen steroids before. man, they will look for anything in sports just to accuse someone of using the shit.

Never heard of that before. Don't know what it would be masking either. I'm assuming test, but not sure how that would work. Very interesting, though. Where did you here this?

It's a pretty primitive method of masking steroids relative to what is available now. Anyone "in the know" would have far more suitable substances to use.

My Guess:
Since most compounds, especially test (and especially transdermal test like creams and gels) convert to DHT, the DHT lowering effects of Propecia (Finasteride) must both reduce the metabolites the Olympic Committee tests for and/or masks the metabolites in a similar manor?

The one doc said that it is 'only used to mask nandrolone' and that nandrolone produces 'massive bulk' and the dude isn't huge so there's no way he used steroids. I laughed, but it is a very media friendly excuse
