Ready to take a shot at some manscaping

Can't believe I'm going to ask this, but here goes. My SO just made a huge "appearance" concession at my request (so hot). And as a result of said concession she asked one of me that I can no longer avoid. You see, I'm one hairy gomer. Chest she kind of likes but the back and shoulders...well, sometimes she gets handfuls to just make a point. What's the recommended way to get a smooth back and shoulders? I cringe at the thought of a razor on all that. Do the hair removal creams work? Not sure I'm ready to take this thing to a waxing salon just yet. About how long does a good grooming last. I cringe at the thought of doing anything like this very frequently. There, I said it. TIA.

Just use a set of clippers, it's easier than a razor. I'm really hairy so I just get someone to do my back and shoulders. I used to be a stripper and I had to do this shit every week, plus tan, plus spray tan EVERY WEEK! Gets old after a a couple of weeks let alone a few years. Careful if you're clipping your arse and gooch. The clippers will grab the skin and cut it. Good luck!

Clippers and VEET.

I use VEET everywhere except my balls, ass, and armpits. Clippers and razor for those areas. And a big X2 on no clippers on the ball sack. Dont forget to use a small pair of scissors on your your nose hairs, ear hair, and eyebrows.

Clippers without guard then a new razor. Why not ask your SO if she'd help you out?

How often depends on personal preference, hair density, and how fast it grows. My hair grows really, really fast, and I shave my lower back and can go about 2 weeks before it's grown back enough to bother me. Although the density back there isn't as much as on my beard, which I trim once a week.

Get as much off as you can with the clippers (otherwise you'll be rinsing the razor off every inch of hair you shave), shave with a new razor during or after a shower. You may experience some skin irritation the first couple times you shave, but using a sharp razor and not applying too much pressure will help minimize that, and in my experience, your skin will "get used to it" after 3-4 shaves.

And if you ever decide to groom the bag of jewels, I'll agree with everyone else, DO NOT use clippers, even the ones designed and marketed for "anything below the neckline."

Thanks folks. The SO attacked the back rug with regular ole Nair. It worked surprisingly well, but oh my gosh what a smell! Some mild irritation for the remainder of the day but some medicated lotion helped a lot. It did feel really strange for a while, not having that layer of fur back there. It's been 3 days and can't say as I see/feel any stubble yet but I'm sure it's coming. Is Veet supposed to be better than Nair? If I use this stuff often enough will the hair eventually become finer and less dense?

Look into "Magic Skin Conditioning Shaving Powder" by SoftSheen-Carson. It's a depilatory mostly for Black dudes who have problems shaving.

Mix the powder with warm water, make a paste, slather it on, leave it for 10 minutes, then wash/shower or scrape off. Works great and it's gentle enough to use on the boys. Leaves 'em smooth and keeps you from wanting to put clippers anywhere near them.

I use an electric razor on some areas and a regular razor on others. The more sensitive areas I use an electric razor since I tend not to get razor bumps with that.

A good set of norelco body hair trimmers gets it almost to skin. Only place I use a razor is the base of my schlong and balls and in between my ass that might have been TMI lol

I would say clippers are good but not more than razor. After the removal of hair, don't forget to massage with ice cube to smooth your skin.

Its all fun and games til you zing your ball bag with some clippers. Been there, done that!

For some reason Nair doesn't work for me. Followed the instructions and even gave it some extra time. Barely got any of the hair off my back/shoulders.
