Reverse Grip Rows- Like Them??? Or Dislike Them???

Used to like them a lot when I was a raw lifter. I can't use chalk so I use straps now, overhand only.

I usually use the overhand row, but the underhand/yates row is pretty cool every once in a while.

I was in my friend's garage over the weekend and starting doing Barbell Rows with an overhand & underhand grip. I never do these because I like One Arm Rows & T-Bar Rows better. But, I really felt the Reverse Grip Rows ALOT more in my Lats. I've been missing out by not doing this exercise for years!!!

One thing to watch is your bicep tendons, they used to bug me a bit on high dose accutane with supinated grip rows and it was hurting my bicep training as well.

I still have a little on my lower back but I have not taken enough time off the gear to allow it to completely clear up on a mere 20mg ED. I am still clearing up veeeeery slowly, I use an exfoliating bodywash and lufa (boy that sounds fruity), and that probably helps as well. What I have on my lower back right now is the red spots, but I haven't had anything 3 dimensional in months which is awesome, because litterally I'd do benches or calves and I'd start bleeding through my damn shirts if I hit something.

So accutane works without question. If I got off for 2 months at this low dose I could probably clear up that last little bit, I came off for 8 weeks last time and cleared up HUGELY, but since all the obvious stuff is clear (had a couple red spots on my triceps) and there is nothing thats 3D anymore, I'm fine with my current protocol and I dont want to run that crap high dose again.

I let my acne go for months before I attended to it otherwise it would never have been so bad.

I'm doing prop/fina EOD currently, with the 20mg ED IP 'tane.

hate them, can't hold the bar properly even with wraps. I can probably hold up to about 225 which is not enough for me, i get forearm pain and very bad painful pumps in my forerms with these, same on lat pulldowns with a reverse grip.

i started using the exfoliant as well and it helps. two showers a day plus mega doses of b5, anti es' and tanning 1 or 2 times per week have made a big differnce. any sides from the accutane?

Sides, hell yeah. Started with dry lips, then eyes, and dry skin in some areas. I sunburned badly from a tan job, it increases chances of sunburn so I had to use less time.

I went as high as 100mg accutane per day and I had to come off of that kind of dose VERY quickly, I lasted maybe a week, seriously my ass started bleeding and I was getting some freaky itch problems.

B5 I used for awhile at 12 grams per day and it helped, I split that into 3 doses, but it was not enough to counter the jooz. I was showering up to 3 times a day at that time.

All in all though I like accutane, I just can't handle high doses is all. I started out on 60mg ED and almost all of it but my lower back was clear in like 3 weeks.

Oh, one other thing about supinated rows, any bar that is bent will cause torsion twist on the negative portion of the rep making holding the bar almost impossible for me with 275/285 for more than a few reps. I NEED the straps, they rock, my back started showing new size within that first workout (next couple days I noticed it).

i see you have a lever belt . thats the best invention in the sport of powerlifting imo . it beats the hell out of the old days when 2 or 3 people would help you crank down a 2 prong belt before a maxx attempt .

better than sliced bread. i didnt lock it down for the bent overs was just adding a litle suuport after doing racks. no belt with racks. bent overs and squats over 500 about the only time i wear it cept in a meet. then i wear even if i gotta pee. lolololol

im in the habit of leaving it on unbuckled myself , i figure it insulates the lowerback and keeps it warmed up .then if i need it flip and lift :)

best investment i have made to date. ;)

I dont wear a belt, but when I do bent overs I stick my left leg out in front for stability, especially being a little tall. Otherwise honestly I think my lower back would be freaking fried.

You know how that back pump is, it feels like you did 3 sets of hyperextentions before you do the rest of your workout. I just want to lay down on the ground with a big arch in my back and not do a damn thing otherwise.
