I wondered what you guys thought about this:

http://www.dragondoor.com/articler/mode3/80/

Has anyone on here actually tried it or anything similar, and if so what were the results like?

i know someone on another board who said he tried and got his squat to mid 3's (oly style) take it for what its worth

PB if you think louie and WSB go on rants you should see this guy..i was reading his online journal and could have sworn this guy was a strong ox especially the way he dispenses advice..ill give him that he is very smart about training but for whatever reason his smarts DO NOT translate into his lifting!!!!

dont ask me who it is because the guy is generally a nice person and im not trying to slam him and rip him to shreds..he is smart just needs to get under the bar more lol

try it and let us know how it goes.

Do you really think it is worth a try, or will it just be a recipe for disaster most likely?

My best squat is 315x5 (that's ATG oly style with belt only). I am not sure what my max single is for squat but it is bound to be horribly weak compared to my deadlift (480 with belt and chalk only - yes it really is that much more than my squat... you really want a laugh you should check out how far my bench is lagging behind them both lol). My squat has been improving quite drastically on and off (a year ago it was a pathetic 225x1 to parallel with questionable form). I seem to get awesome gains for a while then plateau badly. I guess I am just looking for a kickass solution to bring my squat into the 400's quickly. Once it is in that ballpark I will work on bringing my bench up. I am pretty sure I know exactly why my squat and bench are so far behind my deadlift though

I am actually starting a new routine tomorrow - kind of similar to your 3-day powerlifting routine, so I will see how that goes. Maybe I will use the Russian squat program (or something similar) the next time I'm on gear. I figure it's not the kind of thing you want to attempt natty.

Yes I think I read that journal if it's the one on Elite. I have also seen a few other accounts of people trying this squat program and they seem to gain quite a bit on their squat (someone got 75lbs by the end of the program, and I think a few managed only the first 4 weeks but still got 40lbs gain). Despite these gains, nobody seems willing to do the program a second time though lol.

It's easy to find accounts of successes on a program though. I was hoping to find whether people had tried this program and found that it didn't work for them at all. Or maybe I'm just trying to find an excuse not to put my body through 13 weeks of hell :)

if a routine is gonna work it will work drugs or no drugs.

bro if you got that big a diff in your dead and squat you prolly got a form issue, like using all back or somethig. send me a clip of a work set on squats and deads if you like and i'll see if its some form issue thats holding you back. it may not be, but........

exmgq@hotmail.com film squats from the side and dont wear black. make sure lighting is good.
