When to use knee wraps?

What's up bro's? I'm just wondering when it's time to use knee wraps on your squats to prevent injury, or if it's necessary at all. I'm 197 lbs (5'10"), and I'm goin for 315lbs next week (I know I can do it for sure) but I might also go for more...do I need wraps at this weight? I have no prior knee injuries, and keep pretty strict form when squatting.

Thanks.

Since I have weak knees, sometimes I throw em on even during my warmup sets. A few weeks ago, I would only strap em on during my worksets. Since you do not have any pain/weak knees, I'd say put them on during your worksets and you'll be able to hit 315+ without a problem.

I am not sure what a weak knee is, or how knee wraps prevent injury. I would think learning how to squat with your knees not flairing out first is the first step. IMO if you are not squatting big weights your knees most likely don't need to be wrapped.

imo no.

If you got em, use them on and off. At that weight you won't need them, but it's nice to have the extra stability and will probably give you confidence to squat the bigger weight.
