truck said:thats who i was thinking of... Ya you are right. With a lot of these guys tied to Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) is usually some rec drug behind it too. I read a interview he had with meone and said he had no clue how much to use or even how long and was to scared to ask, he spent he last years on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I just wanted to say that there is a point where you are using to much and too long with no clue what you are doing is a dissaster and it has to be unhealthy, just don't want some kid to think that Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) is some benign drug.
Obvioously Anabolic Steroids aren't "benign" drugs but the fact of the matter is that ANY drug used in excess can cause health problems. If you start taking several tylenol a day you'll probably encounter health problems.
But the fact of the matter is the meda extremly overstates the dangers of Anabolic Steroids(And all other illegal drugs) to the point of comedy. The media would have you believe that if you take a single steroid pill you'll turn into some muscle head roid raging lunatic who will die from cancer or liver disease in a few months.
In reality these guys who are having these extreme health issues(And I've never seen any studies linking steroid use to brain cancer) are popping steroid pills like skittles and injecting 50x the amount that would be considered safe and STILL they don't die for several years(sometimes more) of this extreme constant careless use.
Let me put it this way...If anabolic steroids were anywhere near as dangerous as the media makes them out to be,We'd be seeing professional bodybuilders(all of whom use steroids) dropping dead like flies. In reality the death rate among bodybuilders and the rates of liver or kidney disease or any other disease is LOWER than among the normal population. Meaning Pro-bodybuilders are HEALTHIER than the normal population as a whole.
But all i'm doing is preaching to the Choir here probably....
