Ask Anything You Want about TRT Thread........

So what's the deal with progesterone? My TRT doc (clinic) has me taking 50mg a day. I don't notice any effects good or bad. It doesn't seem to come up much, but I've seen posts by IMT indicating that they use it too.

Is progesterone on TRT misguided or cutting edge? Can anyone explain what the purpose is, I've never seen a good explanation. Thanks!

Here is an Austinite post on the subject of Progesterone that might shed some light on the topic for you.

Thanks Megatron, I do remember seeing this and it was informative to re-read it. I guess the question it doesn't answer is if taking progesterone to increase it is a good idea. I've never had the levels tested - it doesn't seem like there are many privatemdlabs tests that include it, although it is available as a separate item. Also I was hoping to get input on the 50mg dose.

I thought it said many supplement it to get into the top end of the normal range.

I would love to explain that to you in detail. Please give me a call directly @ 866-206-9926 ext 101.

It is one of the many natural hormones in our body, like others a proper balance is best for optimal health. :) <--

So I thought I've seen this floating around before but I'm not entirely sure - is the Pfizer Test Cyp thinner than Watson Labs? I'm trying to search for the thread I thought I saw it in but no luck so far.
I'm trying to inject with a pin smaller than a 25g, preferably a 27 or so

I've injected both brands with a 29g insulin pin just fine. You should be fine.

Another couple of newb'ish questions.

I have alternating between injecting in my thighs. I use a 1" needle and go about 3/4 of the way in. I'm still getting comfortable with injecting myself. Am I getting the T where it needs to like this or am I wasting it?

Also, I wasn't initially but I am now pulling back on the syringe slightly right before injecting to check for blood. Is there any danger to this? Can you withdraw air and inject an air pocket I to your bloodstream?

As long as it stays in your body it will get used. Unless you're getting a bump or leakage, it should be deep enough.

Aspirating usually doesn't pull air out of your body, the small bubble you see is a vaccuum bubble created by the suction. In any case, you'd have to inject a substantial amount of air into the bloodstream to be any danger.
Opinions vary on whether or not aspirating is neccessary.

Sounds to me like you are doing everything right.

EDIT: forgot what thread I was in, isn't really for me to respond - sorry.

I just started Testim after my doc checked me and found my Testo at 2.65 ng/mL. So my first question of course it what that means. I assume it's a different reference than what you use here. Am I right in thinking that my score of 2.65 is the same as the 265 numbers you use here?

Other numbers are:
FT3 2.97 pg/mL
FRT4 1.01 nm/dL

I've been on it for 3 weeks and feel somewhat better, but not significantly. My doc admits that this is not his specialty. I haven't' looked yet, but I'm hoping there is a list in this forum somewhere that recommends specialists for certain areas.

Call IMT. They sponsor the forum. You will find their ad on the right side of your screen. They do great TRT work.

Quick question- I went on vaca and I managed to run out of my IM pins and only have pins for subq injections
I've always have done my Test shot IM with a 25g needle, can I switch to using a 30gauge 1/2in and shoot subq without consequence for my next two injections??

From what i've heard, the sub q shots take longer to enter your system...therefore, taking longer to feel its effects...just something to watch out for.
