Big girl in need of help?

Dlove

Product of Test
I'd like to hear some of your guy's and especially women's advice on this.

My old lady's best friend has a major complex and can't get a dude to save her life. I feel bad for the chic, three kid's man just walked out on here and was literally screwing a skinny brode in the downstair's while she was there, shit the list goes on. This girl is an absolute angel but I was say obeise.

She has come to me for help. She joined the gym 6 month's ago and wanted me to help her out but I'm scared shitless, I mean this is almost like biggest looser kinda shit, I hate saying that cause as mentioned this girl is so nice and apparently was once beautiful and semi in shape.

Here's her stat's. She's 32 yrs old, 4 11, 230ish maybe more gotta double check, no med's suprisingly except, only minor shoulder and back pain from a fall in walmart, I know it's not funny though. Like I said cool chic and I hate her fucking husband/wife/child/animal beater, hence i'd like nothing more then to slim this girl down to where some guy in town would be with her. She has no gym experience and only eat's like once a day, I'm shocked she doesn't have health problems but will if this continues. She's genuinely interested in slimming down and has been asking my girl to ask me for help. I have no clue where to begin except some diet advice like what protein/carb's and fat's to eat but I don't know portion size etc... and also highly doubt I wanna put her on my 3 day split of squat/bench/dead-NO WAY, lol.

Some help here would be great guy's even our trainer at the gym is stumped. Poor girl has had her membership for 6 month's and hasn't gone yet cause she doesn't know what to do and I don't wanna fuck her up or hurt her. Thought's?

Hey DLOVE - what up, dude? You helped me out about 1.5 years ago when I first got on here. I still remember. See you post every once in awhile.

With this, my firend, I can help. Here is the deal, with women that large who want to lose quickly, hormones help. She may have a thyroid issue which is why she is so large. She should get a blood test and have it checked. She could easily get T3 (50mg/day) and T4 (200mg/day) and run it for 10 weeks. It'll burn fat like crazy. She could also do Clenbuterol - harsh but effective. Finally, HGH will shed pounds in women - it did my girlfriend.

I know you wanted a gym answer, but she isnt headed that way. My recommendation - get T3 and T4 - cheap and effective.

And kudos to you for calling the guy out. I see so many posts from guys bragging about their wives not knowing about their girlfriends. A total lack of character and integrity on their part.

Suggest you also copy and post this in womens forum. Miss Muscle and Blondie can help - might PM them and let them know to take a look at this post.

Shes gonna burn out if you start her off balls deep. Get her to train full body 3 times a week IMO and cardio atleast 3 times a week as well. She doesnt have to kill herself, just get acclimated with the machines/free weights.

As far as diet, she needs to eat, once a day will not cut it, her body is so slowed down if shes only eating once. Id throw atleast 2 salads in a day (light oil/venegar). Im sure she's going to have to change the way she cooks, no frying etc. No fast food, and Id stay away from soda.

If she can make it to the gym mon-fri...honestly to start off id give her the weekend completely off unless she feels like she can make it.

No offense But I 100% disagree with that. Not saying it wont help, but thats like telling a kid whos never been to the gym to jump on 500mg of Test for 10 weeks. There is no need. She needs to start a diet and begin training, learn the fundamentals.

It's pretty simple really. Cut the calories down, turn the exercise up. Cardio daily, full body exercises with light weight, several small, healthy meals a day. It's gonna require her to get her head screwed on straight, plan her meals, and dedicate herself to making a change. There's really no other way around it.

Barn, Glad and Big thank's for the advice guy's. I mean ive learned quite a bit on here even though I seem to bounce back and forth. Finally been a little consistent in my lifts since my car wreck.

But back to the girl, not sure about the thyroid problem Glade, i'll have to check on that and see if she has her thyroid checked because that definitely blow's chicks up and I forgot to ask her but I will.

Barn, I I was thinking the same thing like little meals spaced out to drive to start making the metabolism worked. My first ? to her was how often do you eat and what. She said maybe one frozen meal a day, Bingo problem 1.

Big Guru, damn good point bro that not many people speak of. Getting your head on straight. Her's is way off bro. Funny little personal thing that's the only damn thing that fuck's me up from being consistent. Girl left ow ima chill and go to the club's or drink and pull bing hit's, lol. Lucklily I feel I finally gotta control on that, but good fuckin point.

Barn, I was thinking 3 days machines 3 days cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. When I did that it was the only thing that ever helped burn fat and it was mild cardio just like fast walks for 30 minutes. It was body for life by bill phillips. As for her split I dunno maybe some DB's, I can't see her in the rack yet, lol.

I wish I could find my old book Bill Phillips Fit for life that shit worked but then I sought muscle mass and that really wasn't the ticket there.

So her spilt maybe could be machines starting with Legs then Back then chest/arms maybe mon/wed/fri? Like one or two sets of each in the 8-10 rep range few left in the tank?

Ow-Barn I read a few of your posts, your really doing your homework in the diet category bro, keep that up. I wish HuskyGuy was still here he was a diet guru, but it look's like we got a few others now on the board.

Let me know what you guy's think about that split I just talked about there.

Thank's for your guy's help with this, this is an area I'm not to familiar with. As mentioned, even our trainer who isn't bad told me in the gym today that he is a little stumped. It's just her height/weight is nut's 4 foot 11 is short and she might even be more then 230 I just called her but she is napping. I wanted to know of her exact med's and she say's no injuries but I dunno sometimes when your that big it hurts, apparently.

I totally agree, noway in hell should this lady be on ANYTHING, except a low carb diet and walking program!!

she needs blood work, because there likely are issues with thyroid or insulin resistance etc, also she does need to eat 5-6 times per day period. Good luck.

Dlove I think that split sounds pretty good. She needs motivation, I think if she goes to the gym and sees the different physiques of the women and that they do range from skinny-obese she may become more comfortable. I know for my gf she was scared to lift weight ands didnt even want me to help her with anything, she went and did cardio for a few weeks and so a girl powerlifting, decent body, not real thin but in shape, since then shes wanted to lift. just start and try to help this girl out, something will switch and she'll want to change.

if shes 230 you really cant starve her to being with, dont start her at 1000 cals, no matter what she takes in right now she'll gain because her diet sucks so bad, but after she adjusts shes probably gonna be on 2500 or more cals a day and slowly drop, and she still should see results.

IMO, if she just starts going to the gym 3 to 4 days a week, combining full body resistance and some cardio along with a proper diet she will really start to see result asap. I personally don't see a need for her to start doing 2 a day gym session, it may burn her out quickly or make her tired of the gym.
If this is all new to her, I think it's important for her to find her own level & type of activity right now (with you & you're wife's support and guidance)
The main thing for her would be diet. She should get her diet in place before she starts any type of training, and absolutely NO drugs are required. You can't train your way out of a bad diet.
Perhaps you could advise her to post her stat's on here for 3J to help her find a good healthy diet. It's important for her to not only want to be healthy, but important for her to learn how and why she's eating a certain way.
Not that I'm trying to plug anything specific, but imo this is a good book for her to start with and it's wrote by a woman. she explains basic info on nutrition, gives meal ideas and recipes for clean food as well. It's called "The Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno"
I don't think starting her off on many 'so called diets' would be a good idea. She needs to learn about real food!

If shes serious about it, she will let you come over and throw out (or donate) all the crap food in her kitchen; then, go grocery shopping with her. As long as she doesn't hit up fast food, she should only have access to healthy foods.

Are you saying she has 3 kids too? She needs to play hard-er to get, for one - she needs to recognize she is worth something.

Cleaner diet, very low carbs <100 sounds good, and walking if she can handle it - 4 to 5 times a week. I love to walk, very easy on the body, and gets my heart rate where it needs to be for fat burning. Plus its nice to get out and get some fresh air now and then.

Blood work is probably a good idea too, as for insulin resistance at this point I'm pretty damn sure thats a given but will improve with time - and even supplementation, but start with food/walking IMO.

You know exactly what to do. Women don't need different dieting or training then men, except for less calories of course.

Get her eating healthy....not even clean....just healthy. At that weight she will lose on healthy foods alone. Get her doing cardio, stretching, and weights. There. 4-6 meals per day. At least 2 litres of water. BOOM.

You can do this.

Thank you guy's for all the feedback. I hate saying it but Guru really had a point here this girls head is fucked excuse the french and until then she is doomed. But maybe a little push might help, like Barn said once she see's some girls in the gym that should help too. Ladies thank you too for the feedback I like that miss muscle I can see why would a women need anything different and mudge you nailed it bro the three kid's ough she needs even more push. My old lady has been helping with the little tikes a lot.

This almost might be a job for Gilean Michaels, lol nah were gonna try hard to get the shit in the fridge out and get her walking this week with maybe a little circuit training.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

Can you help me as well?

I am 42, 5.7, 175 lbs...

I am a mother who gained when my boys turned 18 and left the nest. I froze as if scared to move, for months.
Now I feel so weak I can barely stand, I have nightmares of squatting down to get a product off the grocery shelf and cant raise up, no leg muscles... it's terrible to experience in sleep and day to day.
I am working out now, basic cardio via step machine and then sit ups and arm weights... I feel so weak though, as if my muscles just went to long not moving. I feel like it's hard to breathe even when showering....

do you think anavar would help me?

Sincerely,
Ruthie

All you need is proper diet, you're exercising, that's great, you will get stronger. There's a "sticky" from Jamy (3j) offering free diet advice at the top of the diet forum, I'd get his help if I were you. You should be feeling great now that you are finally exercising but if your diet isn't in check, then you won't feel as great as you can or should. Good luck.

Hey Dlove, my opinion is that if your friend is just starting, then maybe 2 total body workouts a week should do for the the first 6-8 weeks. The focus should be on cardio and of course diet . And nothing drastic !! Getting her to eat 3 sensible meals a day with healthy snacks will yeild tremendous results for an overweight person who's metabolism has slowed to a crawl.
After all, we all have to crawl before we walk !

Dlove, in addition to what everyone else said, see if she has a bike available. It is one of the best things she can do to burn up some extra calories and enjoy the warm season. Other than that, I can imagine how awkward it would be if you were at the gym with her alone. Get your woman to go with you both, to make it more fun and comfortable for the friend. Good luck.
