do u guys slam or throw weights at ur gym?

I'm cool with a controlled drop/let-go with heavier DB's, provided there's space. The db's can take more of licking than our shoulders. What does send me into a rage (which can be very productive...in the gym) are the guys that leave like 6 sets pairs of dumbells, no excuse for one pair but 6!!! If you guys saw the freeweight area in my gym tonight, f'ng savages.

I hate when some stupid kid who thinks he's the bomb needs to do some crazy superset with all the dumbbells ranging from 30lb-50lb or something. Or if he has to, at least clean it up after.

If I'm resting inbetween sets and I see stuff lying around I'll even clean up a bit.

I was debating tidying up today but then I saw two trainers watching the olympics on TV right behind the mess. Well the one trainer guy I'd have to figure would have trouble racking all the DB's over 40 lbs. Sometimes you just have to embrace the rage.
 
Unfortunately, I'll have to admit, yes I'm a member at LA Fitness. I'll also state for the record, I DO drop DB's after reaching failure. AND, there's is about a 95% chance you heard me on the last rep!! I don't give a shit! You don't like me making noise and training, then you need to stay home with your f'ing gf and Downward Dog!!
 
I typically dont drop or slam weights. If its heavy I will let go when I know that the weights are close enough to the ground and with a controls release. I had a bouncer snatch me up in a bar brawl in my early 20's and crank my arm up behind my back and touch my knucles to the back of my head... needless to say its never been quite right since. I do let out quiet deep grunts that seems to not draw attention in my final reps though... I feel I am going out of my way to be considerate.

Also, I do listen to PANTERA while crushing iron and beat my quads to the beat just before a set... Anyone think thats annoying?

I was doing incline dumbbell with 115's and started with them on my lap, realized my tunes were gone and the iPod I got from the wife for Christmas was fucking flat in my gym pants pocket. fuck me.i was so pissed I did get extra few reps though....lol she was very happy for me as well.....lol

I agree with this, the controlled drop especially when going to failure. I just hate the guys who are obviously using too much weight to try to draw attention to themselves. Maybe it's just that my gym has an abundance of them and not enough guys taking it serious and going to failure.
 
I'm for dropping weights.. wouldn't call it throwing exactly...I do incline bench with 160lb dumbells and you should not try to place those bad boys down gently, thats the quickest way to an injury. The screaming, yelling and making all that noise is for dickheads.

I had my 160 gb ipod classic in my shorts last week, I had broken the clip on the skin/case a few months prio and had been doing the cased ipod in my pocket thing for a while without fail. Let's just say, I hate the ipod nano!!
 
The gym is a sterile environment, no dropping weights, no sweat allowed. Never fucking grunt or for gawds sake lose a fart doing heavy squats (SUCK ME)!

I'd like to see the muscles on these fags that never drop the weights.

totally agree, but in my aspect hate guys that screams or grunts constently with light weights!
