Not really in the field. I have the best living conditions out here. More so than a 1 star general I'm betting haha. I'm just a cheap ass, and wont buy a fridge, or a microwave. I did buy a water boiler for 9.99 though.

Just buy a box of 20g 1 inch pins to draw with.

Friends of mine do, but I never would. Needles are cheap, and the risk of infection is real.

I use the 20 gauge needles to draw with also. IMO they are the best tradeoff for speed vs. damage the the rubber stopper on multi use vials. Sometimes I heat the gear with a hair dryer or by running hot water over the barrel of the syringe.

I tried putting the vials in the sink with warm water while I was in the shower and it worked a hell of a lot better than running warm water over the barrel. Thanks for that suggestion bros!!
