Measuring dosages in a pin

In the pins the rubber part of the plunger is pointed. I want 1mg, so when drawing at what point do i pull to? Until the pointy rubber is at the 1mg line? Reason I ask is I wanted to preload 10 1mg pins from a 10mg vial. I was only able to load 8.25mg, so I'm wondering if I'm overdosing in my other pin or my vials are short. I measured my other unopened vials and the all seem to be same and almost full. Doesn't look like there could be 1.75mg missing. What am I doing wrong?

That is about right the reservoir wastes .1ml every time.

why do you preload? pins wont be sterile anymore and you can have leaks etc, cant think of any pro on that

Good question. I'm coming to the end of a cycle and noticed the same thing so I started to make the pins a little shy of 1 ml to get my 12 wks.

I agree, I don't think preloading syringes is very hygienic

you guys took the words right out of my mouth. wtf is with pre-loading 10 syringes let alone 1dart. I'll admit I've been looking forward to my next pin early in a cycle and have loaded one a day early or something, but it's not hygienic.

I agree, but out of convenience is why I do it. The wife is usually around, so trying to load and pin when she in the shower, I feel rushed. And injecting usually hurts when I try to quickly jab the pin in, aspirated and inject. I also pin eod so this routine is such a hassle.

yea you waste .1 ml... i take .9 ml test and .7 deca... when i fill the test (first of the two) i only fill it to the .8 then i suck in air and it equals to .9..... and your pre load needles will start changing colours after a while from the alcohol and such eating away at parts of ur needle.. dont recommend it.... i take my shots with the shower running so i can work at my own pace without anyone knowing im doing it

after a while the "hassle" becomes fun.... addicts report the thing they find they are addicted to more then a drug is the ritual of getting it prepared

Yes I notice the rubber plunger is not as air tight as when u use a fresh pin. Damn u guys got me all scared now. Ok no more preloading. Thanks for caring and for answering my question.

Don't take the rubber point to 1 ml. Take the line that you can see where the rubber actually seals to the inside of the syringe. The top inside of the syringe, where the rubber point goes to is the same size as the rubber point and it gets filled so it would be 1 ml to the rubber seal not the point. That should solve your shortening problem.

Wish they would make syringes that somehow didnt waste that .1 ml. Not much, but that definitely adds up. :/ Or a way to get it back in the vial?(obviously with a different needle)

Keeping an air bubble in your pin will pretty much push all the oil out

Could just be the lab, alot of the ugl that I have used havn't been dosed properly getting 8-9ml out of a 10ml bottle. Just the chance you take going ugl ( not all of them though)
