Negatives

I did my first sets of Negatives tonight while working my biceps.

I only used a 20lb barb bell while we did seat Bicep curls, my training Partner C helped me do them.

My workout was 2 hrs ago and I am still feeling this workout :)

I really enjoyed doing Negatives

Does anyone else do negatives and if so what types of exercises are you doing negatives on and how many times do you do them?

Yea I do negatives with my partner. We just started lifting together again on Sunday - so it was my first day of negatives, and holy hell am I sore today.

We do them on lat pull downs, upright row, pec decks, and that's about all I can think of at the moment.

Thats cool. My partner and I have been training together every day since Dec.
He switches things up every 3 weeks.

Tomorrow is chest and back And I believe he is throwing in more negatives some where in there.

I am excited to see what he has up his sleeve, he is in total control I obey his every command lol... Which is good bc he keeps me from playing it safe. My results are partially due to him and his great training skills & my clean eating.

Yesterday was back and bi's. I did 8 pull ups on my own and then my husband lifted me up for the last 6 and did negatives. Let myself down on a slow count to 5 each one. Did 6 sets total super set with curls. I started doing negatives for pullups 4 weeks ago and I've gotten a lot stronger since.

Thats awesome
I cannot wait until I am strong enough to do negatives on pull ups.

I am just happ my injured shoulder is healing nicely. I was getting really depressed that I had to modify all my exercises but it actually helped. Reducing my weights And increasing my reps let me focus more on a slow controlled tempo

I actually read an article on how to increase your bench. Put on weight too heavy to lift and have a spotter or two watch you slowlyyyyy drop it to your chest then they raise it and you control it's descent. Supposed to make you stronger on bench

oxandrolone

Posting here cause females here. Form say I'm male, but not so. I've had 9 hip surgeries, so leg very weak. Doing physical therapy but so slow. MD gave me oxandrolone, 2.5 mg, 2 twice a day. I plan to go as heavy as leg will let me.

Anybody have any negative/positive effects from this anabolic? I really like my liver as it is. Also, how long might I need to take these and do they also help burn body fat?
Thanks, l

Hi Lohmeier,
I am unable to give you any advice, I have no personal experiences with Oxandrolone or anything else like it, I do everything natural, no supplemenation. Hope this anabolic helps you.

negatives r killer , i love slow negatives on the old preacher curl . makes my biceps get large :)

This is what we did... I am still feeling my workout :)

Last night my friend A was telling me about Pause sets I am going to try the next time I do chest/back on Fri.

I love being respected by my fellow body builders from my gym, they know I am there to train and train hard, they have helped me with new exercises and my form to complete them, I love getting critqued/evaluated, feedback and demonstrations help me out :)

Yall might wanna check out the HRT(Hell Raising Training) workout. It focuses on negatives and whats known as a hellcentric repitition. which is basically a partial rep into a negative. Its for pure mass.

If you have a partner, preform 2 sets of 8 reps + 4 Hellcentric reps, a total of 12(per exercise). You should pick a weight 60-80 percent of your 1RM. You wanna aim for three exercises per muscle group.

If you dont have a partner, you do 8 + 6 negatives, no partial reps just releasing the negative slowly one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three, and back up.

I don't do just negatives but i have been emphasizing them with each rep more now and they really are awesome, i can't say how in the long run yet but the past 2 weeks i've seen results from them. On my last set of DB press or overhead press for example i get that last super struggled rep and lower it for a count of 15-20 it literally sends my fibers into muscle growing oblivion haha But they suck so much ass it's really about how much pain you can tolerate but they are way worth it in the end i believe :)

1 thing i have to say is...dont do negatives every workout, there something you just throw in there every couple weeks.

Negatives are overrated. Every professional bodybuilding video I see...none of them focus on the negative portion. They hit the positive portion as hard as they can...then reset...hit it again
