I've been busting my ass in the gym but my diet is still a work in progess. I've made serious gains in strength and endurance. The scale doesn't necessarily reflect it but my waistline is down about 3 inches and shirts and jeans are getting tight and loose in the right places. I'm currently 42 yrs, 5'11" and 230lbs, I train 5 days a week for about 1 1/2-2 hrs weights and cardio. Anyway, I know I only have about 3 months of consistency under my belt and a lot more weight to redistribute but I completely under estimated my bmi. I figured around 20%, to my suprise I am 27%. I don't see it in the mirror?, but I'm sure it's right.
You guys and girls with 10-12% or less are completely amazing and I now realize how much commitment you really put forward...that shit ain't easy. So props to you...I'm a want to be!!!!!!!!!!!!:beertoast

PS
I don't dare post pics until I'm under 20%

Thanks bro. I just finished cutting down to about 12 percent from 16 percent. Now I feel a lot smaller though and my strength has decreased. I know I'm healthier and I look better with a shirt off. I just want to look bigger too. Sitting at about 200lbs at 5'8'' now. Ahh its always something not good enough for me lol.

Did you mean BF% instead of BMI.... also how did you measure it? 20% vs 27% is a huge difference.

First of all let me say great work doing what your doing man, most guys don't even make the step forward to do anything. As for getting lean, It just comes with time and consistency. I've been super lean before it's a lot of work but worth it. Of course i'm not super lean anymore because i wanted to start adding some size! Keep it up man you'll get there.

hm , How did u get ur bf% taken ? if it was done by a machine thier very unreliable get someone to do ur bf% with calipers ask a pt at the gym . I would also train less 1.5-2 hours in the gym is to much for me and im 24 . DIET is key head on over to the diet board and ask for a fella by the name of 3j . He got me down to as low as 7-8% n next summer well get even lower :)

yea i cant believe some people spend 2 or more hours in the gym.. the only time i spend that much time in the gym is when im training more then 1 person at a time..

on my own it takes me 30-45min to lift and another 30-45min of cardio

so im suspecting your diet is to blame

have you ever thought about hiring a nutritionist??

im running a 15% sale for ology members

email me at 3jdiet@gmail.com if interested

Anything more than an hour in the gym and I always felt it was having negative impacts.

Then again, if I run just 4 times a week for 20 minutes I start rapidly losing weight lol.
