Some nice weight on the squats brotha. Sucks about the spot...i did mine yesterday with no spot and it prevent me from going as heavy as i wanted to. I think the best way to give a squat spot is to have the spotter stand closely behind you and when assistance is needed to put his hands on your chest and lift up with you from there. Also, why the hip abductors?

I tried going heavy one time on squats w.o a spotter and I couldn't get it up so I dropped the weight on the floor and looked like a fool.

Good luck on the bench.

Thanks. The reason why I have spotters on the side and not right behind me is because it's tough getting the bar off the pins and putting them back on before/after the set.

I do abductors just to get the stabilzer muscles. Some lady was on the adductor machine for like an hour so I didn't bother using it.

yeah the gym i was at in brasil had pins on there rack that looked like they were an inch long. i know what you mean. also, are you the only man using the adductor machine? i think everybody can benifit but only women use it in my gym.

One of the only ones. No one asks or looks at me weirdly when I do them, though because I guess they understand I lift seriously and you have to use those machines to get big squat numbers.

lol, the ladies that sit next to me always stare because I'm repping out like almost the entire stack.

It helps the stabilzer muscles; the little fibers that no one cares about and it helps greatly. To tell you the truth, I really don't know the science behind it, but since I've been doing them and my squat numbers have gone up, I'm guessing they work. Mind you that my leg day has been the same even before I threw in abductors/adductors.

no doubt...i always forget which one is adductor and which one is abductor. adductor is the one you start with your legs together?

lol, funny but not..i have left the bar many a time on the safety bars upon crashing down when doin legs...

Yeah, I've had a few close encounters and the safey bar saved my life as well.

Well I compare your squat #s to mine, and yours are bigger!. And considering we are similar size and you're 18 years old, you have very nice numbers!
405 will be a great goal to get.

Good for you angry. I have a haircut every week. I do it myself with a machine. Easy and clean!

Great workout today. A bunch of people were there to root me on for the 290 and I had a great spot from MOW today so that made things real good.
