1st Cycle: Test E (500/wk)

well thats good to know. guess im used to seeing 'made with whole grains' on my bagel packages. i will still stick with my tried and true protein shake with all the goodies added followed by a carb/protein meal for post workout but im glad that is working for you.

Even whole wheat isnt a complex carb imo. Look at the gi vs gl on white vs wheat and youll see why.

As for the ops diet. He has deviated from what i would tell him to do just a little bit. But the bagel should be white.

Im not kicking people who use dextrose or waxy maze to the curb. Its a diff philosophy anddoea work. Im just a whole foods guy. Dextrose and waxy maze doeant make your metabolism work
 
i like to do it all, protein shake with dextrose and glutamine on the ride home from the gym, then a can of tuna on some whole grain bread as soon as i get home.
 
Getting back on topic I have been researching this cycle becuase it is the one I want to go with. So:

Why is the HCG necessary during cycle? He is not taking huge amounts of Test, wouldn't it be better to take it as part of PCT?

Why is Aromasin necessary if there are no signs of aromatization? Wouldn't it be better to have it on hand in case sides start to show?

Saturday, August 13th

Hey guys, so i finally got back from vacation and thought i should update for you all.

First off, KTY, you have a very big mouth and don't seem to know much about AAS. I do appreciate your "concern", but please do some research first before you go about insulting people and disrespecting 3J. A white bagel is good for PWO. Before i went on vacation i also picked up some maize for PWO also. (just to try)

Anyway, after a very nice 2 weeks away, i am happy to get back in the routine. During my vacation i was able to keep my diet in check and got in 6-8 meals everyday, which was difficult. I tried to up my daily calories by 500 but i probably only upped my cal intake by 250 each day bc i was busy. I was only able to lift 4 times during the 13 days, but i had some good workouts and made a few PR's. I think the extra rest allowed more time for me to grow.

Here are the PR's i made throughout these 2 weeks:

Flat Barbell Press: 225x10, 235x7,6,5 245x3
Deadlifts: 315x10, 345x8, 355x6,4

I kept it fairly light on squats bc the rack didn't have any sort of spotting or bars so i did 315x8x4.

It's almost been 9 weeks on cycle and i havent mentally felt different except more focused in the gym. I have noticed a big difference in the size of my muscles, especially my glutes,arms, and legs. I have had a bit more acne on my face/traps, but nothing major. I have also noticed my chest hair seems to be growing quicker. dont know if this is from test.

I have been taking 12.5mg Aromasin just about everyday. I am about 10 pills short to complete my cycle, so throughout the past month i have skipped a few pills so i will have enough during the end of the cycle. (i know the half life isnt long). but oh well i have enough for the entire cycle now.

My goal is to reach 200lbs by the end of week 12 and last week i weighed in at 193. Tomorrow i am either hitting back or bi's/tri's and will give a recent weigh in with some more updates. See you guys later.

Today was my first day back in my regular gym, and it felt good to be back. I hit back today and had a real good pump. I skipped deads, but will do them next week.

Gym: Back
T-Bar Rows: 4 plates x 8, 185x6x2
Sitting Rows: 180x10, 185x8x3
Pullover machine: 180x8x3
Lat Pulldown machine: 200x10, 220x8,7

I did some more lat pulldowns with the cable (reverse grip and regular grip) as a burnout. My back was on fire. Anyway, i weighed in at 196 today :) 4 more pounds to go to reach my cycle goal of 200lbs. I'll weigh in the next few days to see if that weight is solid or just fluctuating.

Nothing really new to say, just enjoying the last 3 weeks of this cycle, then 2 weeks off and start PCT for 4 weeks. I wish i would have taken pictures throughout cycle for a comparison, but i def will with my next cycle, which might be starting around March.

Tomorrow ill be hitting bi's and tri's hard, later.

thanks for logging your cycle has helped me a lot looking through it i was wondering when you truly felt the gains on test i am almsot 4 weeks in now and have felt moderate strength gains/oily skin and sweating more but size and a lot of strength has not came yet when did you feel the gains started ?

thanks man, glad the log has helped. my size/strength gains werent really noticeable at one specific week, they were just at a steady slow rate from week to week. SO far ive gained 22lbs, each week about 1-1.5lbs. Strength progressively went up each week but nothing drastic
 
Monday, August 15th

Today i did bi's and tri's and had a really solid workout.

Preacher Curls
DB curls
concentration curls

Straight Bar pushdowns
rope pulldowns
overhead extensions
single reverse pulldowns

nothing new to say, just plugging along. eating as much as i can everyday and trying to make the most out of these last 3 weeks. i weighed in again at 196, which would total my gains to roughly 22lbs.

i was thinking after cycle to cut some and get down to about 185, but i havent gained too much fat so i'll just add in some cardio here and there and continue to bulk until my next cycle in the spring.

yea seeing similar here i am only just about 4 weeks in so far hopefully size will start coming in the next few weeks cheers
 
Tuesday, August 16th (Week 10)

Did chest this morning and felt good. Was able to keep my bench up and do a few extra reps than last week. Then did some incline right after and kept a pretty solid weight, which is hard after going hard on flat bench before.

Gym: Chest
Flat Barbell: 235x8,7,7 (little help on last rep), then did some negatives: 275x3
Incline Barbell: 185x8, 195x6,5
Flat press machine: 140x8, 160x8, 165x6,6
Cable Flys: 65x10x4

My goal by the end of this cycle is to reach 200lbs+ in weight, be able to rep (10 times) 235 on bench, get 8-10 reps of 350 on squats, and deadlift 360-365x8-10.
 
Great informative thread bro. I started first time test e yesterday and learned a lot reading through your log. I like how you posted side effects. I will be dosing lower than you cuz I am not in a position to gain 25-35 lbs without drawing great suspicion but I hope to make steady progress like you. Good job on the cycle bro.

Wednesday, August 17th

So i was going to rest today, but went ahead and hit shoulders. i will rest the next day or two. my delts were a little sore from chest yesterday but i had a solid workout anyway.

Gym: Shoudlers
Barbell Shoulder Press: 135x10, 145x9, 155x8
DB Lateral Raises: 35x8x2, 30x10
Arnold DB Press: 30x10, 40x10, 50x8, 60x7 (fried)
Shrugs: 100x12x4
Rear Delts Flys: 35x8x2, 30x8
then a burnout with some barbell raises

Sides (Week 10)
sides have been minimal. ive had some acne on my traps/back but only like 5 or so zits. i sweat alot lol, other than that, i havent noticed much.

Gains:
I have gained 22.5lbs so far. my strength has slowly progressed throughout the cycle and is still progressing steadily. for example: heres a comparison so far from week 1 to now on bench, squats and deadlifts:

Week 1 Week 10
Bench: 205x8 --> 225x10, 235x8, 245x4
Squat: 315x8 --> 335x8, 350x4
Dead: 305x8 --> 345x8, 355x6

Im happy with the results. I still have a few more weeks to go also.
As far as looking in the mirror, i can def tell i am bigger, my shoulders have gotten wider and my lats are more apparent , along with my arms. I have gained some fat bc of my bulking diet but still have a decent 6 pack.

I must be retarded to bulk during the summer and cut during the winter so i will prob keep bulking this winter and then cut in the spring, that is if i dont gain much fat, which shouldnt be a problem.

Friday, August 19th

This morning i did back and really focused on contracting my lats. i lightened the weight on several lifts to get that contraction better which gave me a great pump.

(weighted) Wide Grip pullups
(weighted) Close Grip pullups
Lat Pulldown
Straight bar rows
Straight bar lat extensions
Pullover machine
DB one arm rows

So the past week or two ive definitely felt like my gains have been plateauing. But the past couple days i feel like ive gotten bigger so im going to continue until the 12 weeks are up instead of just doing 10 weeks. i weighed in at a solid 197 today! 3 more lbs to go to reach my goal. I have started incorporating more abs workouts which are helping me keep my "6 pack" (its suffering a tad from bulking). lol.

As of now i am just getting through these last weeks waiting to start post cycle therapy (pct) (2 weeks after last injection of course). I am anxious to plan my 2nd cycle! I know time on = time off, but its gonna be hard to wait. But at my age, i will.

It seems like there is no concrete 2nd cycle recommended, like Test as a first cycle. I have gotten good gains from my first cycle of Test E and am thinking about doing the same cycle this spring, BUT i am wanting to add another compound. I want to do another bulk and feel i will make great gains! By that time i will probably weigh 200-210 sitting at 9-11% bf. Anyone have ideas for a second cycle? Although i made good gains w Test alone, i find it a little overrated for some reason.

Why try and change it? You gain 22.5 pounds after 10 weeks with one compound..
I would say run test again, but throw in something like Halo preworkout for aggression, or some kind of kickstart/stop.

If you can make good gains on one compound alone, use it till you need another
to continue gaining.. you'll be more happy with your results in the long run.

That is good advice. I guess i just want something more, but i agree it would be better to stick with Test next cycle in the long run.
 
Gym: Legs

As much as i hate leg day, i hit em hard anyway. I didn't have that much time to lift but got a solid workout in.

Squats: 315x10, 335x8, 345x7 (i could have got one more rep but no spot)
Leg curls: 110x10, 115x8x2
Leg Extensions: 210x12, 220x10x2
Calf Raises: 4 sets

Still weighed in at 197
