Ending the myth that long term T3 use can damage the thyroid gland

T4 is too unpredictable. T3 is much better. My wife just got her thyroid checked this week after being on T3 for 6 weeks back in april/may. Hers is right in the middle of the range too. Just more proof in favor of T3.

Most say T4 is easier on the thyroid.

I dont think theres any truth to that. t4 is just watered down t3. It is roughly 4x weaker than t3 so most that take it just take 4x as much. Problem is it converts to t3 at unpredictable rates so why even bother with it. At least you know when you take 100mcg of t3 thats exactly what youre getting.

I recently tried out T4 for a few months. I haven't felt tired in the past coming off T3, or at least it was so minor and short that I don't remember it. However, I did perceive a loss of energy coming off T4 that persisted for about two weeks. I saw a post recently that said it has a half life of about 2 weeks, which could explain my experience. It was probably also compounded by the fact that I'm taking a break from ephedrine, after using it before every workout for years.

from what i was told by someone is that you need to slowly get off it...start a lower dose..work your way up and then bring it back down...before u end your treatment..your body will notice the abnormal low level of t3 and will increase it naturally to normal levels...
