How much can you bench press??

225 about 16 times but my 1 rep max is only 295. I weight 210

A friend of mine is 6 foot and only weighs 185 and benches 355. Hes never been on the juice either.

This doesn't quite add up.. I only do 225lbs 10 times, but I can bench more? =0
 
learn how to bench and you will gain numbers on your bench in no time.

Yea Ive changed my bench up alot and have it down perfectly now. The only thing i should change perhaps is i don't lift the bar off my myself. Not sure if that matters or not but a buddy of mine said that will help alot when it comes time to max.
 
i can hit the115 dumbells on flat bench 4 time and the 120s once on a good day so probably my max is 240 with dumbells
 
Did 225 x 17 Last Friday. I haven't tried a 1 rep max since shoulder surgery. Keeping it light for the most part. 5'5" 178lbs
 
I just do incline/decline, no flat bench, but for fun I max out occasionaly on flat, my last best was 355x1 at 190...Tried 365 and almost died, bar fell on my neck and choked me for a good minute lol.
 
haven't maxed out, but on strength days i do sets of 315 4-5 reps, otherwise i at the moment i do work sets @ 275, 9 reps per. gonna try to step it up to 10 reps next week.

my arms are long though, took me a while to get used to it when i started at about the same weight but higher bf i was only able to push 90kg for reps. i exploded up from there pretty quickly though once i got the form back.

6'2 210-ish ~9%bf getting ready for my first cycle excited to see what i can gain.
 
x weight for 5 / 10 / etc reps is not a good way to tell 1 rep maxx .a lot of times lockout/tricep strength limits 1 rep maxx. also a lot of times a big mans endurance kills his reps but he can bull through a 1 rep maxx.


i dont give a damn if you bench 50 pounds or 500 pounds theres nothing better than setting a new pr , never be satisfied with what your doing or thats where you will stay.
