My left shoulder is acting up. Do you guys think it might be better if I started doing shoulders on the same day as chest? I was thinking maybe it was hurting me by basically hitting shoulders on chest day and then three days later when doing shoulders.

nice work jt. regarding the shoulders, i don't know what would be best. if they hurt maybe let em rest. i know dips are hard on mine.

I usually cut down my isolated shoulder work to 1x a week and I usually make it 2-3days apart from my chest day. It seems to be okay, but I just can't do dips. They hurt my shoulders way too much.

Thanks for the response guys. I know it's the heavy bench work that's aggrivating it, but the heavy shoulder presses are, too. I was diagnosed with tendonitis a while back and was told to just deal with the pain or quit working out. Obviously i'm not gonna stop training...lol.

I think if I move my shoulder work and chest work to the same day, my rotator cuff will calm down a little. The only thing is I can't go as heavy on the shoulder presses b/c my tri's are usually shot after bench. Oh well, i'll just deal with that.:)

Yeah, 7 years of heavy benching will cause some problems. The funny thing is, I should be a lot bigger and stronger if I hadn't partied so hard for the last 4-5 years. Alcohol will kill some hard earned gains. Oh well, i'm over it now, hopefully it'll hold up.
