5-17-06 Chest/Delts/Tri's

I had to train at a 24hr fitness and was waiting for a bench for 10 minutes and said screw it, i'll use the dang smyth machine. Not sure what the weight equates to on a free BB bench but it was definately heavy and I could feel it working.

nice work JT...when i go to my 24 hr fitness i go at the low times so i dont have to wait, but i have been there when it is packed like that..not fun. oh and most smyth mach are 45-50lb counter balanced. just to let you know.
 
Thanks guys, but I don't think this one was counterbalanced, it's just a bar attached to the two poles on each side with with hooks and no cables...if that makes sense. It felt like 315.

We have one like that at my gym...I thought the empty bar felt heavier than a typical 45lb olympic bar. I used it once for heavy shrugs.

ahh ok, i know he kind your talking about. the 24 i'm at does have one of those though. we have the counter balanced ones..i only use em for calves.

we have like 10 benches at my gym and on monday night if you even think about doin chest you better slap yourself! ive been their at 11 fuckin pm and their still was none available!down with 24 hour fitness, corporate ass holes... theyve oversold my gym soo bad its not even fuckin funny, not a single time of day you can go without it being like a night club in their.
