My cutting diet

What can i say- I try and be brutally honest because you get no benefit if someone trys to blow smoke up your ass. The only thing that does is waste time. I'm not being cruel to you personally as I do not know you and have no reason to be- Any individual I give info to is to make them a better person, sometimes people can see through my way of doing it and others get upset because they aren't being coddled. You are getting solid advice and I hope you continue to listen and keep working hard.

Same things goes for jammyjamjr- I would imagine he thinks i'm personally attacking his threads or posts, however what i'm hoping to do is help him see some of his mistakes so he can make himself better.

quite the opposite brother... im no where close to perfect and im always learning myself... glad to have you here... i wouldn't have you shy away from your opinion, i find it useful... i would assume you'd feel the same way if i found something you said odd and brought it up.. this is peacful, respectful, debate between the two of us.. and when your right, your right..

i am what i am... i know what i know.. i never claim to know more then everyone..
 
so if i start losing mass.. what should i up.. fats? or protien or both? im already getting weaker so does that mean im losing muscle?
 
its normal to get weaker initially.. your body is getting used to the transiciton of burning carbs to burning fats for fuel source.. if you start to lose mass.. add 200 calories e3d till it stops.. i would try to up fats before the protien....

if it really gets on your nerves.. and you cant handle it or your body isnt reacting well, switch up.. dieting is trial and error.. keto works better for some then others..
 
can I just say...dirk is a fucking badass! tell it how it is brother. Swole, take this advice. people that know their shit tend to be a bit more rough around the edges because they have been giving the same advice for years and people always have the same complaints, don't take it personally.
 
Hey Ive been on keto for about a week now, the first 3-4 days were very hard but now Im good. Should I go 10 weeks straight or add in cheat meals? Because if I added in a cheat meal with carbs, I would have to go through that terrible process again right?
 
well, yes and no.. u should always do refeeds... it really didn't bother me past the refeed day... but hey, who said any of this is easy??

Dirk, good to see you again brother. Maybe you should tell these guys what you thought of my physique when we first met and then see if you're being mean. lol

so when should one refeed exactly? every week or every 12 days or what cause im finding different opinions on the net..

im continuing to lose weight day by day so im not complaining.. could i mix it up and throw some swiss cheese on everything ha it has zero carbs and 5g fat..
 
ok i have the basic skeleton down.. but it seems as if im eating too much protien and not enough fat.. my numbers are.. 2610/125/25/337/ cal/fat/carb/protien ...im gonna cut down on the chicken and up olive oil and flax to get somewhere like 2650/200/25/250 that makes more sense to me.. i know i wasn't eating enough fat to begin with but i was trying to not go too high on cals while maintaining protein levels.. but now that im going to drop protein and up fat i should be good right?

btw im now at 187 lbs 25.6%
 
^^ you'll be fine.. but only time will really tell.. it's all trial and error buddy
 
i dont mean to sound like a little bitch or anything but this morning i weighed in 2 pounds lighter than yesterday and i calculated it and 1.2 lbs was fat and .8 was muscle.. thats almost 50/50 i didnt even do cardio or work out yesterday whats the deal?
 
are you weighing yourself daily?? those scales arn't alway accurate... if it keeps happening add 300 calories e3d..

a little advice man. you are wayyyyy over analyzing this. Stay off the scale first off. That will fuck with your head big time. Second, there is no way you are calculating that anywhere close by some home BF test. Certainly not down to the .8 was muscle. lol

Start going off of how you look, instead of how much you weigh. If you ended this diet weighing exactly the same but look badass, wouldn't you be happy? Scales are for girls. :D

You will never let that go and thats been like what 5 years or so....

RJ nows I was rough with him when he first posted his pics years ago. Granted I didn't think they were as bad as he will have you believe I thought but the people who improve the most in ANYTHING have the ability to take criticism (as long as its not a personal attack) and use it.

RJ's shoulders and thighs were way to narrow for his waist & hips. He took that and went on to win the Georgia State Superheavy championships.

And thats a true statement about the same advice over and over- The hardest part of getting a better body for most is the ability to get past the idea that its not going to happen over night.

Look I am the first person to admit when I got involved in this sport I was this kid and just like all the others out there looking for a magic pill. I had the boxes of myoplex and Met-rx or the newest Andro-6 blah blah listend to Bill Phillips ect ect-

I didn't know my ass from my elbow and it showed. I worked my ass off for several months at a time and then would take several months off. I remember reading Arnolds encyclopedia (yes its a horrible book but has great pic) but there is a part in there were he says it would take 3 years to get calves like his. I remember thinking 3 f'ing years! Thats forever!!!! Little did I realize how fast life goes by and the older you get the more you understand this. Just look back to when you were a kid and how long a 30 min cartoon was. It was forever and a day. Think how long 30 min is now in your life- Same goes with bodybuilding.

It took me the better part of i'd say 6 years to figure out what that "magic" was and it was there was none.

It was eating right about 80% of the time and working out with high intensity. Learning how to push your body past that comfort zone that most of us train in.
 
well im down to 184 25% and today was my carb up day and i went a little crazy but fuck it.. i bought keto stix and i only got a chance to try once but i only had a "small" amount of ketones in my piss.. im going to try again after this refeed and see whats up
