My journey to get back in shape.

Here we go Mrs P this is me, not the best freeze but you get the idea...

We have the bowflex adjustable weights at home :) When I was doing my contest prep for my last competition a couple of years ago, I used those and bodyweight exercises. the gym isn't the only way to do it if you cannot afford it or don't have the time to go..

I've been really considering getting the bowflew weights - did you buy them for full price? How much if you dont mind me asking? My husband and I both work out at home some it would prolly be a good idea to get - just some much other things to spend money on, it's hard to prioritize. lol

Not so good today, young buck decided to wake me not once, not twice but three times in the night! I had to go settle him each time :( Then was woken by my husband's alarm at 5am because he has a business trip to Germany today. Not a lot of sleep was had, it's days like this one that makes it tough. Today I did another 40 mins of stretching, balances and stuff to work on my strength and flexibility - I'll get my old man to take pictures so you guys get what I mean :) I managed to do stuff that I couldn't before so something is going right :) :) :)

Break dance freezes, here's an example of one:

Whaaat ?? I think I would break my back if I attempt that :(
you are awesome my friend !

I've been doing lots with my exercise ball, love doing Pike ups, it really engages my abs & I feel the burn for sure !!
I've been getting into doing a lot more body weight & stability excercises lately & I'm really like it.

Alogia,

I have the Bayou Fitness adjustable 50 lbs dumbells, (u can adjust 10-50 lbs) we got it a few years ago when we bought our home gym, I got it from a gym equipement supply store here.. I think I paid around $160.00 back then.

I've seen other ones that go up to 105 lbs on ebay for $130.00 for the pair.

Oh, that's not bad at all... totally worth it - and a lot better than the $600 and change I've seen the bowflex for - Thanks :)

Yeap, the bowflex is pretty expensive, they are totally worth it, who needs to have 20 dumbells laying around :)

We got them a few years ago for around £250, that equates to around $400 or just under. Sounds pricey, but if you use them as regularly as you would workout the price is a bargain over the years of potential training.

Today is the day from HELL! So p!$$ed off I cannot put into words without f-ing and blinding, and I feel a bit too old for that behaviour.. But Dayum, I'm not happy!

I still managed to just about sneak in 30minutes of cardio. Not my idea of fun but I did it to keep the momentum. I'm super exhausted, my son is real demanding in this stage of his teething, but (exhale) such is life..
