My journey to get back in shape.

:laugh3: Did you really try it? It takes some degree of control to not fall on your head, finding that sweet spot I guess.

Well, Well, I do have to give the man credit for trying,
He definitely got skills
Here's a vid of another stunt he tried last week (yes, he's been tanning some) :worried:

How is your training going?

Training has been going...hard! Not easy, his sleep is terrible lately. Last night I got up 6x to settle him, I'm like a zombie today and sore all over. This is the tough part, next to no sleep impedes recovery, but no training at all due to it depresses me. The human body is meant to be active. I'll see how I feel tomorrow, but it's just tough...

God bless you guys, but I am so glad I don't have children. Keep plugging away lady, you are awesome!

You're a wise woman!! Nah, I love my kids..makes things harder but can't imagine life without 'em!

Thanks for the kind words Jenner. Backat'em tomorrow.. My stomach seems to be responding faster than my ass for some reason though...dem black girl genes :afro:

My daughter wants "muscles like daddy". I sense a future NPC pro career in her future.;) Thank you for sharing your progress here. I always read what you ladies of ology post because I want to make sure I rear my daughter with a healthy self image. Her mom has severe issues with binging and purging and pretty bad body issues/self-esteem. I am determined not to let my daughter turn into her mom.

StevenMD Google Cognitive thought process. Basically it will layout to you how we thing and how we really are in charge. Understanding that you have the choice to see things as positives give your all the power.

Good looking out, DPR. Thanks for the reminder. In my prior career I was a therapist but sometimes knowing what to do with other people isn't so clear and easy when it's your own child.

Sounds tough. I guess the way to help your daughter is to target her mum. Therapy is obviously needed. The cause of the issues may not be related to her own body views, but could be triggered by other factors such as stress, control etc.. I think for your daughter just make life fun, playing lots of sports and games and enjoy eating healthy foods. Too much attention on trying to be healthy can also have a detrimental effect.

I don't intend to hijack your thread so I'll make this quick! No getting thru to her "mum" as she has been to therapy for over a decade and abusing diet pills (legal and illegal) for the last 20 years. At this point it all comes down to her choosing not to be the victim anymore and taking responsibility for her own behavior but unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon. You are absolutely correct that I need to focus on making life fun and eating healthy, which is what I do.

Hey no worries ;)

I came to the realisation recently that if we can't learn from our own mistakes, then at least other people can. Some people are possibly beyond help, but need to accept full responsibility for themselves. Your daughter has a fighting chance with your positivity ;)

So, yesterday I got in a good hour of push ups, pull ups, handstand training, backbends, cardio and stretching. Was quite hardcore, but I went for it. Very damn sore today. Was planning some gymnastics training at home today while young man slept, got as far as the warm up and he woke up screaming! That was aborted. Tomorrow there's a teachers strike so my daughter is off school, it might be a no goer then too. Planning on taking her to the gymnastics gym so her and my boy can play, I might try sneaking in a workout - but be hard with a 7month old.

When days like this arrive I throw in a set or two of push ups in-between the ironing, or something else between bouncing him on my knee, you get the idea.. I just try to keep my day a strength building one even when I can't get in real training. I'll try to update pics next week. Hopefully it's all going in the right direction ;)

Keep up the good work !

Worth every SECOND! No love like the love you give and receive from them.

Detour, keep it up girl, I know it's hard. I have one kid and he is almost 3 and I barely have time to go running anymore so bless ya for making the time to do what you need to do to get to your goals. Everyone can say it's hard to be dedicated and strict in this lifestyle, but as a mom (or a parent), it is even harder.

Goo' Yob! =)

Hope you're able to get some sleep soon! That has been the hardest part of parenting for me without a doubt! I still count it a good night when my youngest only wakes once and she's 3 1/2. It will get better.....someday.

On a side note, I get envious every time I see your avi. Not just because you're a rockin' hot mama, but because of your bathroom. We purchased our first house about 6 months ago. I LOVE our house, BUT the bathtub is pepto bismal pink. It's just awful. The whole bathroom needs to be gutted...someday. So the tub will stay pink for now. In the mean time, I'll just drool over your tile :p.
