Training towards gymnastic type physique (goal pics included)

also with the other pic aziz "zyzz" dude was running non stop gear to look like that and partying like a moron, why he died. so i wouldnt want to base anything of him personally. but like everyone say diet is everything. you should get with 3j if your serious about it.
 
80% of your goals will be predicated on your diet.. u think those guys just hit the gym and bang they look like that??

I certainly don't want to put my health in jeopardy and I limit my drinking as well so I'm not in danger of following in his footsteps when it comes to hard drugs.

I am after the muscularity he has though.
 
yea im also trying to train to get my body to be like ben hendersons. to me that is an ideal physique -lean, seems to have good cardiovascular endurance (which has been proven in his last fight) looks fast and agile but not too weak as well. seems to me from ur pics vaf that u have too much bf. like what the others before were saying, it really is all about diet. and i mean strict diet. it seems you already have the musculature underneath. you just need to get the bf outta the way to expose it and get leaner. more cardio and diet . . . good luck with your efforts!
 
Something to think about - you have some excess bodyfat to strip off, and that's fine. However. You are 5'11" and 218. Benson is 5'9" and 155 at weigh in. You can diet down to a comparable bf%, but you are going to be built differently than him. I don't think you have 60+ lb. of bodyfat to lose....

3J is the expert, but just from what you have posted, I would guess that more grilled chicken, and less chicken parm is in your future :)
 
I agree ^^^ its good to have goal physiques and admire others, but you have to understand you cant change your genetics and insertions which has a lot to do with how you look at low bf%
 
What everyone else said, diet will be everything. I guarantee that when you get your bf% down to 8 or 6 you will have striations and cuts everywhere like those guys.

Also, like others are saying, if your bone structure isnt similar at all to those guys you may never look like them. But get leaned the fuck out and you'll be happy with the results. Super clean diet, watch your carbs at night, swimming is a great suggestion, some HIIT. 80% of your results will be diet.

Another benefit of swimming is that the cold water will make your body burn more calories to keep your body temp up.

those guys look like tooth picks with a shirt on. If that's what your after, get with 3j and the diet, and get yourself one of those cable machines. don't forget genetics will only allow so much.
 
You're 218, to look anywhere near those dudes, you'll need to drop a good 30lbs of fat. I've been 5-6% and it's NOT fun to maintain. You prepared for CONSTANT desire to stuff your face? Like a feeling your body is gonna signal as "we need to eat cause we're too lean to live."

Good luck. I diet for 6 months when I want to drop from 14% to 6.
