Case reopened...get jays video. I seen some gym rats that can move the same weight. He even explains why he doesnt lift heavy (am assuming he's reffering to ronnie the way he explains it).pullinbig said:the key to adding muscle mass is moving heavier weight. weight on the bar = muscle on the bones. that wanting to look strong rather than being strong dont hold water. you seen ronnie workout? case closed.
Golden_Muscle said:By mass, do you mean fat? More Muscle size equals more strength.
How do you get bigger without getting stronger? Must be a water gain, or a fat gain....
hunter21 said:hmmm, this is steroidology, what would make you think that anybody works out to gain fat or water, you r a fukn idiot.........heres and example....ronnie coleman trains for mass although strength goes up as well but not his main priority, ever wonder why bodybuilders dont use 400lb dumbells for curls....Savicas trains for strength..(i think i spelled his name right).he is a big guy but he trains for strength, size comes along with that but not his main concern...i know guys who are way smaller than me that bench more also..i know guys who are bigger and bench less....when i had 16 inch arms i curled more than i do now with 17.5.i use less weight with more strict form.....guess it must be water![]()
IF you don't think he put that weight on by lifting heavy, you are fooling yourself. It may not take much weight wise, not drug wise, to keep the size, but it was forged with some big weigths.DougoeFre5h said:Case reopened...get jays video. who says you cant do 5 sets of 3 instead of 3 sets of 5 if you feel you need more reps . some people do 12-15 singles in bench.squat,deadshunter21 said:i'm with you to an extent. heavy weights do build muscle the best but, when your doing sets of 1-3 reps i dont see how that is breaking down the muscle that much...I personally get better results from 6-10 reps with a heavy (but not so heavy that im cheating to bench an extra 20lbs) weight that i can barley finish my last rep each set, but thats just me.
