Thanks man. I'm feelin strong for my age, but the only thing that's really lacking right now is my chest and it annoys me to no end. No matter what I do, how many reps, how many sets, how many different routines I do, I still cannot get it stronger.

Good work winter. I can't give you any advice on chest training because I've never had big progress. Maybe you could do dips as 1st excersise for some time?

:( I really don't know. I'm stuck. I can most definitely get the size of my chest bigger, but then I'd just start doing a BBer-style workout, which I do not want b/c I will lose strength.

My main goal right now is to get my chest stronger, but I really don't know how.

Any advice guys? I will be taking friday 22(tomorrow) to tuesday the 26th off.
 
how much you weighing right now winter? how many hours of sleep you get daily?

how's the diet these days? high stress lately?

I have not weighed myself lately, but I'm guessing 188~. I'm getting 6-8hours of sleep due to school work, girlfriend, etc.

Diet is a bit outa whack lately. I eat pretty normally/healthy during the day, but near the night it all goes down hill. And yeah, stress levels are pretty high right now - lots of papers due soon.

I was thinking this might be another factor in why my bench has gone down, but I do not know - I was lifting heavy on all my lifts over the summer and I got my bench up to 290x1 :(

Hopefully my CNS will recover by the time I come back on tuesday to lift again.

hey winter, here is my opinion although it may not be correct. if you get your stress level down somewhat, get enough sleep consistently, get the diet back on track (i mean get the diet right) it may start moving again for you. i don't know if you are losing weight, gaining weight or staying at that weight, but when i lose weight i have learned that if i want to keep my strength or make gains that i need to have all those factors right on. make sure you are getting enough protein. as far as the workouts go, when i hit a plateau like you have seemingly hit, i am not apposed to taking a couple weeks off from everything. come back refreshed and ready to make new gains.

oh and to help you with your perspective, tell me winter, how much have you gained on bench this year?

i would say you had a lights out year for bench gains. look at the big picture and don't get too frustrated. this is a long road we are on bro.
 
yeh, and don't forget..it's not just the chest you use for bench...maybe the triceps are outta wack..or the shoulders aren't keeping up

Tman - Yeah, I really do need to get my diet back on track. The big problem is the girlfriend, not saying she won't let me eat healthy, it's just the fact that when she's over my house or whatever, we sit infront of the TV or on the bed and just talk and do whatever; really forgetting about eating, or just pushing it to the side.

As for my bench progress, I did make some great gains up to 290x1, but then steadily dropped down to a measily 240x5. I will be taking the next few days off to hang w. the family so hopefully this will refresh my body a bit. :)

As for weight, I'm just doing whatever right now, not really concentrating on weight as much as just getting stronger.

Aczech - Maybe my other muscles are out of whack, I'm really not sure to tell you the truth. I will be taking a break so I hope everything'll recover.

I figured it out Winter. Stop banging the girlfriend before workouts, she must be good 'cause she's wearing you out my man.

i have the same damn problem. unless your girl is trying to diet with you, she'll fuck any chances you have of getting a six pack. i feel for you brosky.
