Winterlong's Log

why not make your own boards, bro? I myself made some and they gym didn't even mind. heck, they were curious at what I was doing. some even considered it cheating. i loled

I thought about that once, but it never happened. I guess it'd be a bit strange for someone like me to bring in boards to a fitness center where people are not used to seeing boards and other powerlifting equip. When I brought in bands for speed work, I got the weirdest looks. Same with lockouts.

People were even making fun of my workouts, saying that I was doing half-assed exercises and shit - ridiculous.

i feel your pain, bro. i was like that too, but when I put more plates on the bench than those people can bench, they shut up and could only wish they knew what the hell I was doing.

if you can lift more than them, that alone is enough. now I love benching!

My girlfriend wants to have the same body as the chick in my avatar :)

And my wife wants to have Keyra Agustina's butt! (avatar)

About your chest, at least make sure you don't get any injury. Sometimes, when you want to push yourself too much in order to get #s, you can get hurt. I got hurt.

Yeah, I'm making sure that I don't get hurt with a lot of stretching & rotator cuff work.

ah yes..the 'ol , 'lack sleep and crappy diet' thingie. quite normal even if you're trying to keep everything tight. no worries. get back up, settle down and hit it again. some things can't be avoided. I mean, we have life outside gym dammit...unless you live in a gym and that's your live 24/7..lo!! your numbers are as ever impressive and you came a long way. nothing wrong with slipping here and there.

Appreciate the words Angry :) Yeah, things have been poppin up lately and I've been getting sidetracked. And yes, I do think I've made quite a bit of progress since I started seriously lifting last November.

Thanks again :)

winter just keep in mind that this is a long road. stop expecting results to come so fast. all of us have ups and downs, setbacks, good months, bad months, sleeping issues at times, diet issues etc. just keep doing it like you know how to and next year at this time you will be looking at some more nice gains from this year.

You're right. Again, I'm a very impatient person and I want things my way, I get that from my dad haha. I am happy with my gains this year, but I wish I could have just done a bit more.

Thanks T.

Hey Amigo..I may not have been here a year ago..but from what i quicly read..you were benching about 185x5 and you got up to what..about 275ish? that's pretty freaking good for a years time..not matter what age you are. So it slipped to 245ishx5...still a very good gain...keep up at "realized" 60lbs gain a year and in 5 years you'll benching over 500lbs!!!!

Keep it up bud...o yeah...go back and hit that deadlift again!

I got up to 290x1 on benchpress. Again, I am satisfied with my gains, but I just wish I could have kept some of the strength on bench.

Thanks Aczech :)
