Speaking from experience, alot of guys just arent interested in team sports especially in prison.
You rarely see football, basketball is just not an option for 99% of white inmates, soccer is predominately a latin sport, softball is still prevalent at some camps though.
An inmates free time should be just that, free time to be used (Hopefully) constructively.
If an hour on the weight pile frees his mind and conditions his body, fantastic!
I think once again the ugly "Hater gene" takes over in alot of circumstances.
In Florida the majority of correctional staff are fat lazy wife beating rednecks.
Sorry folks, it's a generalization but quite true.
And as for inmates getting huge in prison.
The quality and amount of food supplied to inmates is so paltry it really doesn't afford that option to the majority.
The only reason weights started being removed from prisons is because the everyday ignorant citizen on the street thinks inmates should be punished all day every day of their sentence, which is obviously counterproductive.
As for anyone who agrees with this, I SERIOUSLY hope u never find ureself in that hell on earth situation, or a loved one there.

And speaking from my experience 90% of inmates have never had the Opportunity to get Involved in team sports, due either to their chosen lifestyle or socio-economics . The concept of contributing to a 'team' for a common shared outcome is something that has to be learned. Unfortunatley , many inmates have an inflated sense of "ID" and have not progressed to the "EGO" and "SUPER EGO" . ( ID represents a persons basic primitive wants and needs_).
I've seen great things happen as a result of a 17 or 18 year old (man) ,as they often think they are , being placed in a situation where they HAVE to make a personal contribution or sacrifice for the greater benefit of the group as a whole.
Just my way of sayin' that inmates should be "encouraged more" in the area of team sports while incarcerated both for therapeutic and rehabilitation reasons.

I have nothing against someone doing drugs in their house if they are adults. I say its a victimless crime. Give longer jail terms to Child Molesters and YES...I do think Weights in jail will make an inmate less angry with the system and come out a better person.
I have a friend that served 5 yrs and lifted the whole time, got out and got certified to train peeps and now he is part owner in a gym!!!

Yes..If the dealer is one of hard drugs like cocaine/crack,heroin or meth. Even then sometimes they start dealing to support their addiction. Not all are gang banging hoods...Some make mistakes and bad decisions then get drawn into into it. These drugs are very powerful and can suck you in...

There are a large portion of weed dealers incarcerated in the USA just for trafficking in marijuana. Are these "hardcore" drug dealering dangers to society?

Us as AAS users would be thrown in with this drug using crowd... Are we "gang banging" dangers to society? No.. If they busted you for AAS who are they protecting? Society or are they just trying to protect you from yourself?

There is something fundamentally wrong with our justice system...

Are you willing to say its fair for your prison sentence if you get caught using or distributing AAS? I tend to think you dont. I never said dealers and users arent scumbags. I said they have more issues and need some help with addiction rather than being tossed in the jails and making the problem worse. Serve the time, but help them get over the shit.

Lol. Tell us more. I can't disagree that I've seen this. Not in the bigger prisons but I've heard about this in some smaller facilities...min and med. However in Max and SupMax rapists are actual child rapists where the kids are young like 6. I've never heard of anyone getting 25 years for having sex with a teenager who consented though.

And a jury doesnt work in small judicial branches bro, cause everyone knows everyone and some states dont expedite jurors from another state or county cause of lazyness

Seriously Ive done more time than any man should have to and I'm of the above average intelligence crowd so I think I have a pretty good grasp of the logistics of this debate but it's just that, a debate.
We kind of got of the point here and into the "Legalization" debate wghich I could argue with Snigg for hours about btw.
Bottom line, there's plenty of scumbags in the system and plenty of good guys that made bad choices or found them selves a victim of circumstance.
