so yesterday afternoon after i got home from training,i was tired after i ate my post meal,i had gotten up at 3am,didnt go back to sleep,stayed up all day etc,trained and come home,so my wife wanted to go and see her sheep that she got from my father,and they are out at her parent's house,i was just 2 tired and sleepy to go,so she asked me to put the chicken in a pot and boil it so we could make supper later

So i put it in water and put the stove on prolly medium,and i came back in the living room and laid down to rest,i checked on it several times as it was boiling,then next thing i know im smelling something burning,i jumped up and ran into the kitchen and all the water had boiled out of the chicken and it was starting to burn

As i was in there cutting the eye off,and stuff my wife walks in and the whole damn house was smoky as hell and she asked me,what happened,course she figured it out real quick,she said hon you fell asleep and i said yea i did....so dinner was ruined,and i was just upset,damn the stuff i do lol,just lucky i woke up and smelled the smoke,but what a damn moron I am lol:rant::insane:
 
Oh dude...that shit happens. I had a grease fire around 2 months ago and I have burn marks on my arm and neck from the oil splattering all over me. I was cooking pancakes... lol.
 
I sprung up on the kitchen counter like a fucking cat on all fours as the pan was just burning full blast and I screamed "MOTHERRRRRRRF*CKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I fell asleep and left a pizza in the oven for about 8 hours one time. It looked like a damn frisbee lol. No worries bro it happens to the best of us!
 
Eh... I have done the same thing... Once when I was sterilizing my son's bottles (melted them all to the pot, whole house was toxic with burnt plastic.

Second time was with a faster version of beef stew... I fell asleep and burnt the crap out of it because all the juice evaporated. Happens to the best of us...

Holy that sounds horrible. I gotta remember when I sterilize them bottles never to forget... Lol. Goodbye pot and bottles.
 
I just finished running 12 miles one day, came home hungry and hella tired. I was steaming my broccoli and forgot to add the water to the pot. I burnt the broccoli and my house stunk so bad :(

I have never done that before, I was so upset I ruined all my broccoli
 
Wife is a claims adjuster for an insurance company, tells me about this all the time. Especially the sterilizing of baby bottles. She says they spend thousands trying to correct the smoke damage, smell, ect.
 
Lol really!? Yeah it did freacking stink, it actually started having flames when I opened the lid from what I remember, I am pretty sure we took it outside and threw another pot of water in it to put it out. We opened the windows and left to a hotel for the nt because we were afraid it was toxic for the baby. It was terrible. Threw out the pot and switched to glass bottles from born free. Then my son started refusing bottles and only wanted the boob. Haha
 
Yup I did it with a week's worth of brown rice...filled the entire place with thick smoke...I had gone grocery shopping and totally forgot I had started cooking rice. When I opened the door it was just a wall of smoke, I thought the place was burning down.
