I gotta ask - the shirted bench...

I'm not sure if there was a hidden point to that sentence, but it almost sounds like you are putting him down when he is almost as strong as you.

NO his implicationis that my shirted becnh meant nothing and he has implied in the past that anyone with over a 300 bench per say, could lift those kinds of numbers with a shirt. THen when he found out my raw. His face sort of frowned because he realized both were strong. HE told me flat out that if he bought a shirt he could do what I am doing.

Ahh, well then I can say thats uneducated for sure. Definitely a lot of newbies think a shirt will instantly boost your bench 100-200+ pounds, which is bullshit. If you dont have the triceps, you wont push it up.

I didn't get to train in my shirt a whole lot before I lost my training partner, but it didn't do much for my numbers honestly. It was just a single ply trainer, but it still could have been worth more if I had the tricep strength for it. I already forget if it was injuries or losing my training partner that came first, I was doing some high volume shit and that was hard on my body.

I also got hurt once when some cough *asshole* cough spotter tried to show off by shrugging the weight up as quickly as he could, when I was board pressing. Fucking prick showoff. Unloading the weight that quickly fucked me up for at least a few days.

I'm hoping my carry over continues to increase. My tries are very strong. At first my carry over was about 40 pounds. Check out the numbers below and let me know what you think.

Raw: 405

Raw 2 board: 425
Raw 4 Board: 500

Shirted 3 board: 585

This week i'm going to try 2 boards while shirted. I think that 600 before summer is doable.
