Pre-Contest Cycle

O and as far as weight I was staying fairly heavy but I started getting injured. So I've been doing SUPER light weight and using perfect for and really contracting the muscles. I've actually been getting really sore and having great workouts doing so.

I learned the hard way, when u start dieting, u need to change the way u lift. Joints and tendons aren't what they used to be. Gotta leave the ego at home.

x2. Hard to learn the hard way. I tore both my quads right before a contest.

Jesus christ that's fucked up. Sorry to hear that. I've been dealing with low back issues for as long as I can remember so.I've had to pay attention to.that. and recently my injury was just a sprained rotator cuff.

hey bro;
How is it going? you are about 45 weeks out now? How have you like the mast? did u ever run it before? where's your body fat at these days? i imagine you only have a few pounds more to loose.

im 4 weeks out from 2 days ago. Im down to 6% bf. First time using tren and mast, seems to be going well. I like the way I feel and look. I am pretty tired every day and i think its a combination of the diet and like somone else said early in the thread, the compounds are pretty toxic so that will make me more tired.

Sex drive has been very high of course.

vascularity always increasing lol.

My bodyweight has been the same for quite some time now but i keep getting more cut, so thats perfect. I was 195 a few days ago, but the last couple days i was around 198. Im hoping to lose a few more pounds of bf and come in the day of the show around 4% bf.

typo!meant 4-5 weeks - lol sounds like you are doing great! 195 is excellent - i imagine that brings you in at the top of your weight class - just where you want to be! cool that you are doing well on the compounds - my last cycle was test deca and eq and my libido tooka nose dive - no fun... Did you pick out your music yet? How is the routine coming? Just saw a contest over the weekend and there was everything from Break dancing to classics...keep it going dude!

i decided Enemy by Sevendust. The first 60 sec of the song. And my trainer and I just put together the routine so I'll be practicing it every day. I'm excited, its all coming together. And I would imagine I would come in low 180's the day of the show. And the weight class, light heavyweight, is 176-198

Low 180s? You are 198 now. Water manipulation can only bring you down a few lbs before you start dehydrating the muscle. Certainly you don't have 10-12 lbs of bodyfat to lose. 5lbs max, by now, right? (I haven't seen any recent pics). 198 minus 5 of fat = 193...3 lbs water...190. If you are going to be in the light heavies (no point in losing mass to hit the middleweights) then keep those muscles as full as possible.

One thing...if the Sevendust song ends up making you pose too fast, either hold it for an extra beat or find a slower song. As I was listening to it, it sounded like it would rush me. There's a song I always thought would be great for a BBing show-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwTv45OW5Yw

Good advice from burlyman. I'll have to listen to those songs. I'm leaning towards 00:29-1:29 Just LikeYou Imagined by NIN now, its instrumental. There's a few other good ones but the lyrics are too distracting. I also like young forever by jay zee but it's hard to compress into 60 secs. I have to admit the ones that really get me riled up at the gym are a few Gwen stefani songs, but that's because I am (notso) secretly in love w her! It would be way too gay to pose to Gwen regardless of whether or not it is my personal fantasy.... Hahahahaha

Keep the faith man & stay focused!

great advice here. Like i said in an earlier post, don't chase a number. And like the guy above said, might as well stay fuller. you'll end up looking flat and thin, which isn't good even if you are dry as a bone.

Only problem is depending on the show you are doing, is the heavy LHWs are usually stacked with muscle, so you may not place as well, but i would still take this approach. If you carb load correctly, you could look 10lbs heavier and be dry.

Yep, a carb deplete/load cycle will plump up those muscles for sure.

Juicer, have you planned out your final week, as in carb load, sodium depletion, water intake, etc?

Btw, my avi is a pic of me in the lightweight class, so it's really all an illusion...how big you make yourself look, not how big you really are.

Quick question for u, when u were running the dbol were u running masteron at the same time, do u notice the masteron interfering with the dbol ??

I didn't notice the mast effecting the dbol... I didn't retain much water but I never do on any gear.

Ya doing the math it would be atleast 185 on show day, but I just refuse to adit that.im that big. My trainer will guide me through the final week. Im at about 5% bf now. And I was saying numbers as a rough guess. I will NOT sacrifice muscle for anything. Im gonna be somewhere in the weight class so the weight doesn't matter one bit anymore, its just about looking my best. I've only been weighing myself for fun lately.

Im gaining weight but getting leaner so something is working lol. Ill take pictures sometime in the next couple days. I've been busy and tired so I haven't felt like doing it yet.

Ha its just hard for me to believe that I might actually compete at over 185. That's pretty damn big cut and dry. Ha its just weird. I got the manorexia syndrome, I look in the mirror and I c a 135lb bitch so its crazy thinking I might compete that heavy. When I first started contest prep, I and everyone else thought I would be a middleweight.

and as far as the song, my trainer and i came up with a sweet routine to go to it, and i think it will look really good come show day.

im practicing it atleast 10x every day from now till the show.

i still cant believe that i've been 198 for like a week now. it doesnt make sense to me. i dont feel that big, but i keep getting more cut and im gaining weight. maybe my muscle is getting denser?

o and my bodyfat, i measured with 2 diff calipers just this morning. 1 said i was 2.5% bf and the other said 6% bf. so im assuming about 5%. Me and my gf both did both calipers twice, and came back with same numbers every time. And the one that said 2.5% is the defender from BB.com. looks pretty legit. but that bf just doenst make sense.

Whatever the calipers say at this point don't mean anything. When was the last time you saw someone at a BBing show bring calipers up on stage with them? lol. Just funning with ya man. I know you know this. I wouldn't worry about the calipers from this point forward. The mirror tells the story. Pictures tell the story best.

Is your trainer a successful competitive BBer? You've made mention of him a couple of times, so I am hoping he knows his stuff surrounding competitive BBing and gets you where you need to be.

stay tuned, i plan to take pictures tonight!

also, i think ill start my arimidex on monday, at .5mg eod. and possible up the dosage depending on how im looking. i dont think im holding much water, but i know my estro is pretty high, so hopefully this will make me look a little more cut, and maybe drop a pound or 2. we shall see.

yeah, calipers are garbage when you get into single digits. Actually they suck anyway, but like burly said, it doesn't matter. No one cares what your BF is one stage as a number, just how you look.

btw, what does "I'm that big" mean? you said that in your post above.

And how do you know your estro is high? And why are you waiting til just now to combat it if it is high? Adjusting estro levels from high to low at this point in your prep can do bad things to your physique in terms of water manipulation, sodium, etc. this is why natty pro BBers aren't great for prepping a guy on gear in my opinion.

either way, lets see some pics.

that big meaning, 5'9" over 185lbs sounds like a pretty big guy. It weird thinking of myself in that category because i was expecting to compete at 176.

I just got a blood test done a few days ago and my estro was at 81 or something i think. Not terribly high.

I took some shitty pics yesterday, diff i seen was legs a little more cut up and back a little but nothing drastic. Just wasn't feeling it, and my house was cold as hell so it was just weird. im one of the most vascular ppl on the planet, and i had not a single vein sticking out cause i was so cold. Ill take some better ones tomorrow or something. Ill get some up tho!

well, i guess we all have differing opinions on whats big.

And i hate to tell you, but high E2 ranges are in the 50s. Your estro is too high especially coming into a show. You need to get that taken care of immediately and watch how your body responds in the coming days. Next time you need to be controlling estrogen from the start of your prep.

Again, why natural BBers shouldn't help with show preps for gear users.
