Nothing special about my bench...since i use no spotter, i go slow to keep control. Bringing it down takes 2-3 seconds...the slightest pause (no breastbone bouncing) and then back up with a mind focus on squeezing the pecs together. I don't have a long setup with a highly arched back if that's what you're asking..i just lay down, pull myself up like a reverse push-up, set my shoulder blades in and go.

Thanks for the compliments...it's my best bech sice i started lifting again..i could have definately got another rep as i was feeling it yesterday.

Ya know, a gym is only as good as you make it. I've sailed on ships witht he smallest, crappiest equiped gyms you could imagaine. Everytime i see older pic of arnold...i look at the crap they were using in the gym and think "damn, look at the size of that fucker"

You could do an entire, full body workout with just a barbell and some weights. How do you think they came up with the creative "skull crushers?" it's not the safest way to work the triceps to failure but if you've got no fancy cable machines, it'll get the job done.

Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.

true. it doesn't need to be pretty to get you big. if it is heavy, lift it. i love working out at old dirty hard core places with equipment from the 70's. gives the gym personality and makes me feel like lifting heavy.

HAHA, usually you are lifting more on those older machines as the bearings are all wornout and the physics used in calculating the resistance isn't too accurate.. :spank:

man, i wanna do some deads today..but my lower back has a slight pain..like i slept on it wrong...i hate when this happens

Yep, seated presses. I'd like to gain a little more weight...being around 200lbs with a little less bf is the goal, so i kinda need to bulk up to about 210ish but i'm trying to do it cleanly so i can keep the cutting cycle short.
