my friend owns a big crossfit box in nyc sometimes to mix things up ill train there.If you only care about muscle cf is not for u.Its goal is to make endurance athletes better.I personally only care about muscle these days.
Downtown or midtown? I may have trained there. Cross fit is good for endurance and full body athletic sport strength. Only issue I have is the speed factor. Some instructors encourage people to maintain the same speed and explosiveness of the movement as the weights get higher and higher. When you increase the stress like that you need to slow down and keep an eye on your form. You don't want to damage the classic stress points like your rotator cuff doing 225 power cleans as fast as you can ( I exaggerate) the instructor makes all the difference.
