DB Bench 105lb X8 reps
Band Pushdown #2 1X15
Band Pullaparts #2 band 1X12
 
You stand under a chinup bar, facing sideways and loop the band over top of it.


It was funny one day at the gym some guys I talk to were making fun of me for using bands (my #2 is a light red almost pink) anyways I ask them to give it a shot and neither could do even one rep.
 
Last night's workout sucked, been working 7 days a week and eating shit.


Deads 455X2 :(
Rack chins 2X15 BW
DB curls 50lb 1X10
 
I think I'm coming down with something, I got a definite head cold and sore throat. Probably doesn't help that we've got a going away party for a buddy of mine who's going on tour tonight.
 
First time in like 2 weeks, ugh
Went light, far from failure just to get back in the swing


Sumo Deads 315lb 1X8, 1X6 (first time doing these, I think its gonna take a while to get form down)

Felt like shit, ah well
 
Just figured I'd mix it up. It feels way different, I'll prolly alternate every other week. Should make me more well rounded I figure.

One thing I'm concerned about though is that I'm afraid of dropping the shit on my toes some time. I mean I'm not right up on the plates with my feet but if I need to dump it, who knows.

I really suprised myself there. 455 felt heavy w/o a belt when i was warming up so my first attempt was 505, that went up fine so I did 525, then 535, then the 545. I reckon if I didn't dick aroudn so much I coulda gotten a few more lbs. But hey, a 30lb PR is nothing to bitch about!


My lower back has lost some strength though since I haven't been lifting as regularly though. I pulled 510 a few months back with no belt and my back felt strong. I gotta work on that for sure.
 
DB Bench 1X9 100lb :( down 2 reps from last week
Band Pushdown 1X9
DB Hammer Press 1X6 70lb
Arnold Press 1X10 40lb (havent done any overhead work in forever)
DB Hammer Curl 1X18 40lb
 
100lb DB press is still solid even if you were down 2 reps...i can only get 95lb for about 3-4 and maybe 5-6 with a spotter...
 
Yeah thats the thing I didn't have a spotter this week. My form was a bit off bc of this too.


Oh I forgot, I did DC stretch for chest with 50lb dbs right after bench
